SeriouslyRidiculous has been clutching at the longest straw ever, including LAST seasons results in the drivel he posts.
So he needs a "Settling in period"? Till when- January? I don't suppose there's much KR can say, TBH, he's had a turkey foist on him, and though I'd love it if he had a few drinks and said as much, it ain't gonna happen.
Forgot I done this until I went to put bets on for tonight Might as well profit off us somewhere. As for the game, I've only just seen the goals and their last minute equaliser is a shambles. The team are run down - I think its Fosu who fails to put a challenge in on their player when it's hoofed over. He considers going for the header but doesn't which is a cardinal sin, as the guy then just marches through another two and gets his shot away. I can't see Reeves or Marshall starting on Saturday, it would be a mistake if they do IMO. It's time for Aribo to take some pressure off JFC and Kashi (both had their share of injuries). Other than that, theres not a great deal we can do - madness.
What is the latest position on Reeves @SuperChrissyisfantasticPardswasatrocious ... as his Agent/PR Girl I guess you know more than the rest of us
Reading the reports on CL from those who were there. Solly had another poor game, which happens whenever he is asked to play twice in a week, and means he may well be about to have another poor game on Saturday. It also seems unanimous that Kashi is in need of a rest. I assume KR doesn't trust any of the potential replacements. Still, don't worry, we have 27 players so it's nonsense to talk about a paper-thin squad.
Not sure why he seemingly doesn't fancy playing Aribo. I thought he was one of a few bright sparks from last season.
Of the players who are flagging, I would say Kashi, Solly, Forster-Caskey & Fosu should be rested/dropped. I would also drop the Poundland Joe Hart we have in goal.
What? I read somewhere this morning he's the best keeper in the league. Someone seems mistaken to me.
Best keepers in the league don't let in an average of nearly one and a half goals per game. Neither do successful promotion teams.
Not fair to put it all on Amos. The defence has been poor and some overplayed. Think Walsall had nearly 20 shots.
Absolute nonsense. If your defence is not very good you are going to let goals in. I can't remember that many goals were his fault. It looks like we are all thrashing around looking for scapegoats.
So Ben Amos is the best goalkeeper in League One. And Charlton are going to win automatic promotion conceding an average of 1.4 goals per game, and with a goal difference of +2 ten games into the season. I stand corrected.
He has his weaknesses, but goals conceded should fall on the back 5 as much as any individual. That said I thought he should have done better on their first goal, as should the defender who let the ball go carelessly over him.
Where did I say that Amos is the best keeper in div1. Where did I say that Charlton are going to get automatic promotion? The point I am making is that if you concede a goal it is not necessarily the goalkeepers fault. The team from forwards to midfield to defenders has not been defending well enough. Picking on the goalkeeper doesn't tell the whole story.
My complaint about Amos is that he is guaranteed the gloves ahead of our own Dillon Phillips, a goalie of roughly similar quality. Not Amos' fault, but not right either.
