I do not agree it was that bad, Walsall are on fire at the moment and many players did their best - we have played much worse than that in several home games this year.
I would go with Macalister who battled hard and scored his first goal for us.

There were four players who I didn't really notice....two Mc's and central defenders, does that mean they were 'not bad' or just anonymous? Thought Eaves and Jacobson had good patches but for different reasons didn't contribute for all 90 mins.

GMM, interesting comment about home games, as I see so many away; some of those you mention must have been bad.

What's interesting is that last season there was more spirit, more football, just more of everything.......where's it all gone? Some opponents last year were very good but we matched them or worked out how not to lose. As a site for discussion I think we are getting close to answers.

Metashrew,
We lost an experienced core of the side (and crucially Collins) over the summer and some of the replacements have not ben to the same level. This is a much harder league and we have not been able to outpass most teams like we did last year so we have ended up scrapping in games and playing more direct. If we learn the lessons from this year (if we survive) I expect we can regroup and do better next year. If we do go down I think it will be difficult to get back up again quickly as most relegated teams take a period of time to banish the relegation blues before they can kick on again.

Agreed......see my other post about losing back two, including captain. Keep the posts coming, good craic!
