You're getting one of the best head coaches going. Forget about his persona, his CV runs rings around that chump Pardew.[/QUOTE]

    Agree with this 100%

Agree with the comments about SM being a decent coach.

If he's appointed we need to draw a line and support him. If we don't then it will be us dragging the club's name through the dirt.

Hmmm! When was SM manager of Boro again? Surely you are thinking of Karanka?

I don't mind SM as coach and think he would do a good job.

The viera hype was to risky for me. Yeah he could have been great but he also could have been pap and at this moment in time we can't take that risk.

A lot of people focus on Derbys form since Jan. It's not just coincidence that their form dropped at the same time newcastle approached him, probably our fault they didn't get in the play offs!

As a member of the coaching staff, we've seen how Beardo has developed the kids. If Clarky can make a contribution too then I welcome it.
As a manager he wasn't up to the job but I think he will thrive back at SJP as a coach.
He understands the fans and that, at times is one of the big criticisms we levy at our club so surely it can only be a good thing.

Clark is a dumb **** and can't manage for ****. If he comes in with Carver and co staying it will be the same old ****ing **** as before, possibly even worse. McClaren won't have a chance with these knuckleheads working with him.

According to that bald bastard Ryder:

However, McClaren is not thought to have any issue with sticking with the coaching team already in place.

If this is true, and I'm not saying it is because Ryder knows **** all, but if it is, it really does suck the fat dick of hatred in my eyes.

Full backing as always with a fresh start. Regardless who it is. I don't think he's that bad an appointment personally. Not massively exciting but he has good coaching credentials. I don't buy all this head coach/manager bullshit though. You are the manager even if you don't pick your transfers. You still do the interviews post games and carry the can when things are not right. Yet another thing that annoys me about the modern game. They love to dress things up.

Whoever comes in is the manager. He just doesn't have the power to buy players.

Essentially it changes nothing for me regardless who comes in. I'll only take an interest again when the club changes its approach to running a football club. As yet there is no sign of that happening. Fatty coming on TV to say it is so, doesn't mean it is. Actions, words and all that caper.

Thats relative success though not actual success. I didn't say you were bad I just said SM wasn't.

You obviously don't want him, but I think you'll be pleasantly surprised if you get a few players in how he'll get you playing.

You weren't unlucky by the way, you changed a winning team to accommodate your new Colombian striker and swapped a keeper in form for one returning from injury. Advantage Fergie from that point on, Keegan just didn't have the minerals to go the distance.

I would have bitten your hand off to get mclaren in to replace carver and sort out the mess of the end of last season. Still fairly happy, particularly considering where we are as a football club. All the garde, vieira stuff was just some massive pipe dream and while i would love an exciting appointment with promises of swashbuckling, adventurous football, im content at the moment to have a manager with suitable experience who can hopefully build something out of these promises that ashley has given.

i swear if i see 'mclaren out' banners at some point in our near future though, ill take out my own eyes

We learnt the same lesson at Chelsea recently mate it only takes one chance to win a game.

With Cantona in our team we always had a psychological advantage, he just ruined defenders by looking at them.

Our players really did rate Steve Mc very highly. Like I said he'll do a good job for you lot if he gets a decent team to work with. I can see you getting a few players of ours as well on loan with him there, he'd be trusted with any of our lot to develop them.

Hello mate. Seems like you have a lot more confidence in him than us lot. The blokes done sod all the last five years. He really seems to be an underwhelming appointment, if it happens. Saying that, he seems highly regarded by some folk, so what do we know? We've tried the best and did very little. Hey ho.......
