I have Forest Green as my nearest game next season. I was hoping Bath would get promoted from Conference South but they blew it!

Maybe it won't be all bad as I have had to start drinking earlier this season, usually 3:15 when we are 1-0 down.

i dont want to come across taking the piss so dont take it this way....

i never would have predicted 5 of the bottom 6 teams all winning today. im well shocked.

torquay are officially down and its out of wycombe, rovers and northampton on who will join torquay.

although torquay are down im sure they will be up for the game next week as they wont want to finish rock bottom. if they beat wycombe, wycombe will finish rock bottom. they have done well recently and will want to finish on a high to continue there recent good run as they will want to use this as a positive to start next season how they ended this season - on a high. so although torquay are relegated, they still got something to play for and thats not to come bottom. good luck with that.

i honestly dont see northampton losing against a poor oxford team who under waddock have lost their way and are no longer in the running for the play offs so have nothing to play for. also northampton are at home and have done pretty well at home. also northamptons manager will want to beat his old club. i can only see 3 points for northampton.

that means its either you or us in my opinion.

we face mansfield who had a man sent off today so will miss our game next week. they also have nothing to play for. all we need is a point to be safe.

with every single result going against you today, i can only seeing wycombe who will be very wounded today losing at torquay.

but i wont be surprised to see rovers losing 1-0 and yourself winning and deep in injury time either torquay score or rovers score which will send you down.

    sorry guys <ok>

did waddock end his spell in charge of wycombe on good terms or do you think as he has nothing to play for, he will be happy to let northampton take the points and him claim he was part to do with sending you down?

I don't think he will be doing us any favours Jack. Put it this way, I've just been looking at the Non League Forum to see if there is anyone to talk to. It's like a morgue.

you aint down yet. if you recover from today and win at torquay and either rovers or northampton lose you are safe. you aint dead yet. keep your chin up.

if you do go down, i will visit you now and then :)

can you still do a league 2 bet thread??

Just looked at the conference, shame really because Dartford have been relegated, they are not too far from me, well the closest current conference side.

    The FA Trophy.
4th Qualifying round of The FA Cup.
    No painting by numbers cup.

Just 3 things that spring (sorry shouldn't use that name) to mind that lay ahead of us next season. <yikes>

Since losing to Bishop Aukland in the Amateur Cup Final, we have never lost at Wembley. If all else fails, there is the B&B Cup, if we can get past Beaconsfield.

Looking at the past results this season at home you have to say we deserve to go down one of the first rules of football beat the sides around you we have failed to do so we lost or draw at home to Mansfield in August, Bury in October, Exeter November, Portsmouth January, Accrington Stanley February, & ending up with Northampton & Bristol Rovers & it went from there losing or drawing with sides that were on our league level at the time.

really disappointed with today - we had no cutting edge going forward, didn't take chances that came our way and had a general lack of desire towards the end. the conference beckons and I am devastated about that. I cant see us staying up as I cant see rovers losing to Mansfield or Northampton losing. could we win? maybe, depends if we finally get any cutting edge about us

its the wrong time to take the piss. i will wait until 5pm next week when/if rovers are safe :)

i would rather northampton go down and us both stay up. i think next season would be fun with shrewsbury joining us and pompey still with us. there will be some good bantering going on.

but if you did go down, i would be gutted for you but part of my head is thinking 1 word. revenge. you relegated us in 2001 and last seasons abandoned game was not right.
todays win is revenge for last seasons health and safety officers cheating decision. and next saturday if you win and we get a late goal to get a point which then sends you down would be revenge for 2001. that would be justice.

however although i am a fan of justice, i prefer if you were able to stay up with us and northampton go.

Won't be fun for Shrewsbury with no jelly on the plate. May have to find something else to wobble.

Somebody on Chairboys on the net has a sense of humour saying we now get defend the Trophy that we won 21 years ago. Gallows humour.
