HB that is all I was trying to do have a thread about the situation without any of the arguing.

If I had spouted pure hatred then this would just have been another thread like all the others.

I definitely don`t want them to stay up if we don`t get promoted that would be the worse case scenario.

All I said, which you still haven't addressed, was that you always appear to support the City but then say how "Everybody" wishes this other team well.
Learn something, we do not all wish them well.
If you want to say you wish them well by all means say it but do not seek to impose your wishes and desires on me or anyone else! You have no right to do it!!
If you are having a secret love affair with some team in the Premiership then go and do it on their board, not on here. And notice how I deliberately did not mention any team name , in order to ensure they have no excuse to invade this thread.
That is something else you either need to learn or you do deliberately.
but I know you won't answer me, you never have yet!

The idea is you let people have their say and do not try to instigate an argument by continually trying to score points in reply.

I read your posts and you have read mine.

In context I am sure I understand what my post meant. Naturally taken out of context it can be given another meaning.

I must confess this article confuses me a bit. I never 'want' Swansea to win, per say. I don't particularly wish any ill on them, and I wish them good luck in the premier league in the same way I wished Blackpool good luck in the premier league last year. But I don;t consider any parameter of 'true fan' manship to be wanting our rivals to succeed in the premiership.

Swansea are in the premier leaguye representing Swansea, not Wales. Theya re one of 19 teams in the Premier League. I would like them to stay in the premier league if and only if we get promoted as I would like another welsh derby next year, but generally speaking I am pretty indifferent.

I am confused at how being a true cardiff fan means one must want Swansea to succeed in the premier league.

To put another angle to it. If Cardiff had been promoted and not Swansea, about 95 % of Swansea fans would want Cardiff to crash and burn and come straight back down. I dont say that with a hint of bitterness, or resentment, it is merely the status quo.

When Swansea got promoted, I wished them luck. I respect them as a team and as a fan base. And I have Swansea supporting friends. But do I want them to succeed purely because they are a Welsh team in the Premier League? Fraid not.....
