So what do you reckon to England's chances? I don't follow the prem so I'm not too familiar with England's squad.

Defence doesn't look great. I prefer Pope to Pickford although it looks like Pickford will start. Stones and Maguire don't inspire confidence in central defence. Kieron Trippier having a good season at Newcastle and will start at right back, Luke Shaw at left back.

Reece James and Ben Chilwell injured.

Going forward England look much better.

    Quarter-finals perhaps?

Driving up to Surrey today, there was a sports reporter on the radio who thought that Iran would definitely qualify out of the group ……

So no point doing a thread for England if they’re only going to be there for 3 matches …… <whistle>

Doubtless they will be compensated. They had an exclusive contract to supply beer during the tournament, so it looks like that contract has been shredded.

Pintless going out there now. <laugh>

There are still Fan Fest areas that will be serving beer, where they can accommodate thousands.

There’s no booze being sold in the stadium - although booze is available in the corporate hospitality areas: so the ordinary fan is ‘shafted’ again <cheers>

I doubt they will have a Fan Fest area where gay visitor's can indulge their preferences.

I fear for any gay's caught in a compromising position.

Lousy idea holding any kind of tournament in such a country.

Corruption is the backbone of all these tournaments, with numerous people getting their heads together, rigging votes, and making multi million pound/dollars/euros deals, behind closed doors.

    Sickening, really.

I can't bring myself to follow any of these tournaments.
