I suppose it depends on what he wants to do - having been on £600k/week (after tax) for years in Spain, he doesn’t need the money.

Personally, if I had enjoyed (even half) the career he has had, to bring the curtain down on my footballing career, I’d have loved to finish off my playing days at my local team - playing for nowt or just a pittance<cheers>

For me, I’d have loved to have played (even just 1 competitive game) for the Swans at the Vetch <cheers>

I know what you mean, but agents don't make much money out of it if Bale goes to Cardiff for next to nothing - I'm sure they will want to avoid that and try to get him the best deal they can in terms of their cut.

I think playing at PL level would also benefit him with the World Cup on the horizon. It's a massive step down to go from Real Madrid to a team that's fictionally as big as Barcelona though :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Barnett has made a shed full out of Bale. He leads one of the most successful Sports Management Agencies in the World.

I suspect that they (the Agency) will try and secure a share of commercial income from shirt sales as well as from image rights.

But that said, they act for their client (Bale) and if he is happy to sign and play for ‘bugg*r all’, then that’s his prerogative, I would suspect <cheers>

Newcastle Emlyn, perhaps ? On second thoughts, he's not a big enough name. <laugh>

A decent performance last night against Belgium. They were clearly better technically but a dogged performance from Wales and a fair draw.

The right decision, even if a tad slow in coming.

The sort of moral lacking we see all too often these days. Saying that, if he had any he wouldn't have done what he did to get himself into this position, or out of it rather.

Boris Johnson has set the bar so low, we are all vulnerable to being guilty of some (mis)deed, or other.

Not sure we can blame Boris for such a low bar - yes, he’s certainly no ‘saint’ but there are others equally as bad or, arguably, far worse than him …. Giggs included <cheers>

I'm not defending Giggs, but he was a class performer at his chosen profession, Whereas, Johnson..... !!!

I try to find some good/decency in people, but Johnson has none, and is happy to live in that bubble of " don't give a **** for anyone, or their feelings ", for as long as we let him. <cheers>
