Can't see Ireland actually winning their play-off game.

Pity for Wales but at least it gives you guys the opportunity to get fully behind England next summer. :emoticon-0105-wink:

We got what we deserved and that is knocked out. They did their job and deserve the play off spot.

Remember past near misses and weve been really unlucky and played well. Cant say we were unlucky tonight.

Collectively poor. There were terrible individual errors and some poor tactical decisions but the best wed have got tonight was stopping them from qualifying.

Anyway back to the 100 mile an hour Championsip. Tune in Friday lads. Live on Sky.<ok>

I always support England in the Summer, especially when they face the Aussies.....

England will host Australia in six limited-overs matches next summer, in between Test series against Pakistan and India.

England and Australia will play five one-day internationals and a Twenty20 in June - four months after the sides meet in Australia following the Ashes.

Joe Root's side play two Tests against Pakistan starting on 24 May before facing Scotland in an ODI in Edinburgh.

They also play three T20s, three ODIs and five Tests against India.

Seriously though lads... that's a ****ing poor Republic side at present, and you took what, 1 point from a possible 6 from them?

Can't have any complaints, last year was a freak for you and don't think we'll be seeing you again any time soon. Karma for fielding that disgrace Neil Taylor <ok>

How we lost that ill never know...Wales were by far the better team but it's goals that count and we threw it away by not being able to score.....

Agree Dai we were very powder puff, it was lump it forward in the end out of shear desperation. Problem with that it the two CH gobbled it up and Ireland defended in numbers and stood strong.

As they say in the National lottery, you've got to be in it to win it...

Tomorrow I'll be putting a tenner on an England-Iceland final in Russia <party>

England were the worst home nation team in this competition who had the easiest group where they struggled to compete to be honest. Once they play a half decent team they will be shown up as a poor side.......Most England fans have been saying this from round one....and they are right....

Vokes should have started. We were putting crosses in the box in the first half with no one on the end of it. Kanu is more effective as a sub.

Hennessy gave a hospital pass in the first half and we got lucky. He should have learnt from that, but didn't.

All those missed bookings cost us, because it allowed them to continue their physical approach.

Anti-Football won tonight. Let's hope Ireland get knocked out in the play offs because I don't want that **** on my telly next June.

On the plus side, I'll go to Spain for my hols next year instead of Stalingrad <laugh>

Listen mate, I'm from a time when Ireland had players like Liam Brady, Stapleton etc, also Aldridge, Houghton and more. , I'm also old enough to remember when Wales had Southall, Rush, Radcliffe, and many others, what did you actually expect Ireland to do?, lay down and let Wales win?, even though Wales had the bulk of possession they never scored more goals than Ireland.
I wish Wales well for the future, but no nation(including) Engerland are entitled to win without actually scoring more than the opposition.

This(, Ireland)era is the poorest for many a year, but just like Wales, Ireland north and south and Scotland we have to make do with what we've got, the onus was on Wales tonight but they weren't up to it, surprising really considering they were at home.

    Erin go Bragh!
