For me the RW position is up for grabs, no-one has nailed it down out of Gerv, Ox or Theo. I suppose it's whoever impresses Wenger in training at the moment.

Try it out in the Carling Cup. Still rather have Walcott through the middle, than Chamakh.

His decision making, strength and heading means, in my opinion, he will never be good enough to be the lone striker.

Do you think Walcott's finished at Arsenal? He seems to be behind Gervinho, Podolski, Chamberlain in Wenger's plans

Walcott is finished if he does not sign a new contract in the near future. And most probably he will not. You can see it from his reaction on the pitch. He looks like he does not belong here anymore. Le Boss has demonstrably put him on the bench and with his contract situation Theo is not a priority anymore. I think Walcott wants to play as a striker for Liverpool, and he thinks it is realistic now, when they do not have one. It would be a good option for Walcott.

He's a boyhood Liverpool fan, and wants to play as a striker. Liverpool are struggling for goals and need at least one more forward.
There's no evidence for it, but I reckon he'd fancy it if the opportunity came along. I wouldn't mind Liverpool taking him off Arsenal for 10m in January.

    1. He does not want to sign a new contract with Arsenal.
    2. He wants to play as a central striker.
    3. I doubt he wants to go abroad.
    4. I doubt Manchester clubs or Chelsea are interested.
    5. Liverpool needs a striker.
    6. Liverpool can pay more than Arsenal.
    7. He is a Liverpool fan.
    8. And if he wants trophies - there is not much difference between Liverpool and Arsenal. Both clubs will not guarantee any.

Theo Walcott: "I was a Liverpool fan simply because my dad followed them. Unfortunately I wasn't born when the team had their golden era, but I enjoyed watching the likes of Michael Owen, Robbie Fowler and Steve McManaman when I was growing up. When Liverpool won the Champions League I went mad. I was shouting so loud I think I woke up the entire village where I live!"

We play three forwards in our system. He wont play down the middle but he is still a 'striker'.

David Villa plays on the left at Barca.
Ronaldo plays on the left or down the middle for Real.
Messi plays on the right/left and down the middle.

People need to learn the distinction between forwards and wingers. Its not like we play a flat 442 and Theo is on the wing.

The only club that could guarantee trophies would be Celtic.

HENRY?? He's 6'2 and 13 stone. He was a beast of an athelete - tall, strong and quick. Walcott is 5'9 and 11 stone. You cant even remotely make that comparison it's crazy talk.

It plain and Simple. Walcott want more MONEY than arsenal are offering him and if he cant get that, he will wait till the Big boys come for him. Whether he plays as a CF, RB or WF for arsenal is irrelevant.. If he does leave arsenal, it will be his loss really.

Interesting how Gervinho played through the middle against Southampton. If Walcott sorted out his contractual issues with us, that could have been him. Moron.
