CB i know times are not good at QPR but who would we get in? If it was 'Arry' then we would need to spend a lot more money and again a new team. I saw TF face yesterday and he looked 'p'd off', but for me we need to all stick together Players, manger,Chairman,Fans because we don't need the Flavio days back and a new manager every other week.
Ellers, what we need is points or we will be back in the Championship next year. Survival is worth over £100m and I reckon we can afford to pay MH off. I know we have a November that could turn our fortunes around, but we have already LOST to Reading, and let's say we do end up 17th again, that would make us the best of a bad bunch, is that really what we want?
Totally agree we need points and have said this year with money is so important and the board know that. If we can't/don't beat Reading next week then i am sure all the fans will let TF know. Although i really think we will stuff them and get our first win.
Ellers, thank you. It's nice to find someone with a head on his shoulders and some nerves to accompany them. People have their opinions, but the the vitriol towards half the team and manager is more worrying to me than anything else. Plus the comments fernandes is receiving at the moment telling him to sell and f**k off bemuses me. Be careful what you wish for, you may just get it. But I wonder were Sir Alex would be managing now if the Man utd board had panicked and sacked him after he'd spent more money than any other club ever, had lost nearly every game, but they stuck with him and the rest is history. Not saying Hughes is SAF, but SAF wouldn't be SAF if our fans had been in charge.
The one I was that he had 3 home games and 7 points was the minimum requirement, that included Everton so a loss or draw against Reading or Saints and hes gone if its true.
We need to stick with the right manager, plenty of us thought Hughes was never the right man to begin with. Sticking with hughes is akin to sticking with SWP just so we have settled team. We need to appoint the right man, the new Warnock, not another Magilton, Hart, Hughes. LDC is available, I wonder if hes learnt English by now.... "Gigi Di Canio, Tony and Bhatia..."
is that the royal we,or are you going to pay him off,its easy to spend someone else's money,TF has made his choice and he will stick with it.
Maybe we can avoid paying him off and sack him for failing to do his job, he said we would never be in a relegation battle again, hes not doing the job he promised. Even if we have to pay him, I think TF would rather pay £6m to get rid of him and keep the £70m a season next year than save the pay off and lose £70m a year.
Reading came back from behind twice to draw against an in form Fulham. Much as i would love to agree, I just cannot see us "stuffing" them next week.
For the umpteenth time, Faurlin in for SWP. 3 in central midfield to compete better and have more possession. It ain't rocket science. You say fans need to get real.....well I'm afraid it's those that are clearly in denial that need to get real! We are a quarter of the way through the season, with 3 points from 9 games. No away win ever under Hughes and never above 17th place under him. Who needs to get real?
I don't agree that a new manager would necessarily mean loads of new players. I genuinely believe that a manager from The Blue Square could set the side up better with the players available to Hughes. Credit to Hughes for getting the players here, but he's not up to getting them to play!
I would love to disagree with you here col but I can't. Our team looks disjointed. I don't see the passion, effort, desire, hunger etc etc that I thought I would get from a MH team. The players have to take some of the stick here too but f**k me he looks clueless on the sideline.
You or me could set the players up better than Hughes. In fact just going out there without Hughes would have a positive effect, the players wouldnt be hamstrung by having to be so negative and safe.
Tongue in cheek - those words have a nice ring to them, but the music to accompany them is on the tip of my tongue?
Yesterday wasn't about midfield formations, SWP, Faurlin or even M'bia was it though? Every one knows we had things pretty well contained. Okay, so M'bia lost it for some reason and we subsequently finally conceded after a definite offside. What we lacked was sufficient forward oomph to question Arsenal's iffy defence. The fact that their keeper was largely redundant says it all. We simply do not have the necessary cutting edge. That's been the case every week - even when completely dominant against Tottenham. That's why we're not winning games. No score draws won't save us. Someone's responsible for failing to properly equip us in the summer. Manager or directors, I don't know - but if we haven't got a goal scoring striker lined up for January's top dollar lottery, we're all ****ed.
FFS!! I give up I really do. I promise not to mention formations again for a while unless it's in my match report. People just don't get it. We had so little possession, precisely because of our formation against their's. More possession means more chance of creating something. They had the best part of 70% possession....the goal was always coming as we retreated deeper and deeper, well before the sending off.
