Personally I'm more excited about the prospect of Hamer than I am disappointed about the demise of Rob. Just watched highlights of the 3-1 home defeat to Carlisle last season. I would say he was at fault for all 3 goals. No sense of positioning when dealing with long range shots and doesn't control his area enough. It is sad because he is a Charlton boy through and through, but this is football and we all want the best players playing for us. Robbie isn't one of the best. Not in this league, and (promotion permitting) certainly not in the Championship.

Excellent news about Wagstaff - not a good pre-season, but this shows he's willing to fight for his place and that is what we're going to need this season - battlers, not bottlers.
