Concerning as this obviously is, would the ‘concern’ be as much if this had happened in say November without the background of so far unsubstantiated takeover talks?

So far it seems to be a one off. If it continues beyond then fair enough.

It was said a few days ago we are loosing 500,000 a week or month, where do people think the money to cover that comes from? it has to be paid into the hull city account from somewhere else.
Most if not all lower league clubs are running at a loss aren't they?

Would the players have bonuses based on relegation or league position?

Knowing we are safe with one more win I still could see them trying just to secure that. It’s not like they need to go on a long winning run or rely on other results

They're not gonna wanna get relegated anyway for their own pride and sakes, of course they’re gonna try, unless they really hated the owner and manager and wanted to purposefully **** either or both over. Which I would extremely doubt.

There were reports of rumours swirling round the hospitality areas on Sat about the state of the clubs finances. Now we have this, but it's claimed the players knew in advance.

Is it possible that the two are related in that someone had heard about the players getting paid late, and jumped to conclusions, and maybe things aren't as bad as we're fearing?
