I agree with all of that,but we used to use the manhole covers for goals,also to get into the games used to cost 9 old pence or 4 new pence today. and the Dewi brothers made a fortune with the crowds that would turn up.It is lamentable the game we were all brought up on - jumpers for goalposts in Pontcanna Fields, grazed knees in school yards, watching our bluebird hero’s at Ninian Park for a few bob - has been in part ruined by the filthy lucre of money, ego, power seeking and greed.
