Classic Lawrenson. He always has the biggest error where the club is better than he thinks it is for us-currently 13 (13 !) places. Muppet. When Albion were 2-0 up the BBC had a comment, Albion up to 6th, punt for Europe. Hello. We are 5th, probably a punt for associate members cup then.
Yes favourite player of mine from the old days. Lived about 100 yards from me in Leavesden. My second house in Leavesden Green was once owned by Ken Nicholas and Steve Sherwood also lived close by. The days when players lived in the local community. You wouldn't find our mega stars living in North Watford now lol
Another away day drama! We deserved a draw at least against a side very content to hold on to what they had after some sloppy defending on our part. Seemed to run out of ideas a bit at the end but kept going! Deeney didn't really do much and most of our threat came down the right.
Yes indeed, I remember passing Ian Boltons house on the way to Leggetts Way school and most mornings he used to be coming out of his house as I passed by. I remember congratulating him on his away goal at Rotherham when he scored from the half way line and it was shown on the Big Match on the Sunday.
Met French is, Hackney and Yorkshire today. And Matt Rowson of BSAD fame. What a game. I was entertained. We'll learn from today. We switched off for five minutes and then struggled to make our possession and superior skills tell. RICHARLISON was like Helguson on his debut v Liverpool: kicked off the park and yet.... F me My hangover is gonna hurt in the morning
Great day out, and it would have been a travesty if we didn't get at least a point. Ten minutes into the second half WBA started to play for time, I would hate to watch them every week. If ever there was lesson in not leaving early it was there for all to see. Gomes going up for the corner created panic as to who was going to pick him up. Glass or two to enjoy now. Brought supplies with me.
Just to say that we could often hear you guys loud and clear. A good job which the gaffer noted in his after match interview. Glad you had a great day out
I used to live off Whippendell Rd - and Sherwood at one point lived not too far from me. I used to pass his house to get to the ground - Harwoods Rd from memory. You wouldn't find them living in West Watford either!
I still have that goal on cd - can quite clearly see myself leaping around like a demented fool when it went in.
When was the last time that Watford sent their keeper up to try and salvage a point? I cannot remember it has to be quite a while, unless you know otherwise.
Just reflecting on my day out, and it was great to be amid the noise and enthusiasm of the Watford fans. Just in front of me stood a 16 - 18 year old who was filled with anger. Everything seemed to be wrong in his world. Shame really that he couldn't enjoy his day out.
Yes great to meet up with Fez and Frenchie and my mate Hackney.... Brian I looked for you twice but you must have been at the bar each time ? What a GREAT day out.... a fantastic comeback.... and my first live game this season and I was very impressed by our possession and passing and WINGPLAY! No chance we will go down..... I am sure that the predictions 8-13th that we all put will be on the money.. Mind you a couple of very hard games to come.... ... We were right down the very front and was great at the end when all the players came over and gave shirts and shoes to the young supporters... even the stewards were touched.... COYH!!!!
Shame indeed. I had my moments today, pretty much all directed at oliver, but I was having such a great day I couldn't even be bothered to boo mclean....
