Oh, I thought according to most on here that we had better players than we did 2 seasons ago and the drop was not an issue, in fact, the moans were about failing to make the playoffs..
We had other defenders that were just as guilty of making mistakes, not just DaSilva..Tanner (whom I rate by the way) & Danny Simpson to name two..
I don't see relying on January to save us...NP needs to sort out what we have now or we will drop..

Morning R&W - oh that dreaded cat bounce. I don't wish Cardiff ill but I hope, selfishly, they stay just below us.
The latest to experience the bounce are Newport and Charlton and is really difficult to explain, especially Charlton. Do you remember some on here waxing lyrical about how good our squad must be as Pearson, just sat in the Boro stand watched the first game after Holden. Even Warnoock before the game said his only worry about Bristol City was the dead cat bounce. Those same misguided souls said the same thing earlier about our squad after our first 4 games (wins) after Holden's first pre season.
I have feared for City this season and admit to a little bet in August that both Bristol clubs go down.
Rovers were 16's and we were 10/3, that's £733 for a tenner. A bit unlikely but I thought good value.
Incredulous as it may seem just a few weeks back some were thinking a p/o place was possible. I did say then a bottom 6 was more likely.

Anyway let's hope SL allows 'quality' to come in the January window.

We must have the heaviest dead cat, because our bounce was a virtually non existent. All over clubs seem to get 6-8 games whilst we had 1-2

away to Stoke you may have half a chance for a draw they are going through a slack period .. mind you not as slack as yours!
Barnsley just came alive but lost 3-2 bottom half of table is now a level! playing field ...on seasons points played for and gained we are 18th with yourselves 22nd.......
thank goodness for Newport and Forest green ......:emoticon-0128-hi:

It's all pretty depressing at the moment.

A home win might lift the spirits of the players, the manager and the supporters, but it's already become a real issue and I'm not even sure we'll beat Barnsley on Saturday given we couldn't beat the likes of Blackpool.

For me, I would normally write off the Blackpool result as a ‘first game of the season lottery’ result. However, I’d expect us to kick on and improve - and we haven’t.
Blaming past regimes and poor inheritance is wearing thin now. Neither LJ nor Deano went this long without a home win - even during THAT losing streak under Old Streaky.
The old injury curse seems to be alive and active too; Semenyo, Baker, Williams etc getting crocked hasn’t helped.

The growing injury list is now a major concern again, when we thought the departure of Ashton might help resolve it this season. But most of the injuries are at least on the field during games, rather than happening during training.

And to keep the home form desperation going for another couple of weeks, I've predicted a 0-0 draw with Barnsley. We don't score many home goals, don't create many chances or have very many shots on target, so it's a logical conclusion for me unfortunately.
    I hope I'm wrong.

this is a trend that has been going on for a long time doesnt give the full story but first 6 games of DH... PS .... NP .... does show NP = 8 shots 2 .1 on target DH 4.6 / 1.7 [ 2 games PS strongly involved with 7.5 / 5.0 ] .. SO there is the makings of a good base but as we know from his tenure start date NO HOME WINS....
    record .w 5 drawn 7 lost 15 .. [ start date 030321 ]
