come on ashton .. we have had 43 % of the play and they have only had 53% ... 10 shots on goal 3 on target and 7 corners whilst we have had . uuum oh EEEEEEER .......... 0 - 0 - 0

 

I was hoping that City would have some bite going in to this match but sadly they haven't turned up. The first half was dire beyond belief and not one player is worthy of any good comments because they are equally responsible for pathetic individual play. There is no effort or willingness to win the ball by anyone and if we keep up this apathetic performance I fear for the end result. The half time team talk from Nigel will be interesting but I have no idea how he can change our squad because he has already used two subs and with what we have on the bench the outcome looks bleak. This squad doesn't look as if it is capable of doing anything other than the dross on view out there on a consistent basis and with our upcoming fixtures we could drop in to the danger zone before the end of the year.

Why is Pearson having difficulties getting better out of his players after he has been in charge for long enough that he should have made a difference?

 

Plus they’ve scored 2 goals (could have been 4 or 5)and we’ve scored 0.

Spot on Ashton. I see a team that has no soul or desire and if it continues it could become a problem beyond our worst nightmares. The pundits are not far away from asking the difficult questions about Nigel Pearson and to why we are seriously under performing on a consistent basis. The shocking loss against Forest followed by what's on view out there today must tell us that no matter how we set up the match day squad it doesn't bring the results needed to move upwards.

 

I think we are putting the effort in, we lack invention, composure, creating spaces, holding the ball up.....we can't handle West Brom......that was the first half anyway..
Will we improve??

What are you doing Simpson? Terrible back pass sums it all up and we are behind 3-0 after 7 minutes of the second half. Shocking beyond belief.
