I’d say Alderweirald is the best CB in the league and VVD isn’t that far behind.
He was behind Vertonghen, Bailly and Alderweireld BEFORE his injury imo.

He’s looked like a shadow of that player since, it remains to be seen whether he can regain that form

I'd say he was definitely as good as Vertonghen. Not see enough of Bailly really.

A shadow is also overstretching it, he hasn't been that bad this season.

Why didn't you just sack klopp and hire Fat Sam to tighten up your defence ffs...<wah><yikes>:bandit:

We will see how good he is when he's left exposed by you gun ho attacking style

He’s been little better than average when I’ve seen him, and certainly not someone who justifies smashing the World Record transfer fee for a defender by nearly 30% mate.

It’s barmy money

You could take it seriously if you like<laugh>
But our focus is on attacking. We have mentally weak defenders who crumble. Hoping our signing sorts this, but won't know until he plays and got a few games under his belt sadly.

Rather be 4th with a ****e defence than where you are personally as we have something to build on.

You say the same?

There's been a couple of games where he's been very good but I agree that he's been a bit below par, probably down to fitness/attitude more than anything. I'd still say shadow bit strong though.

Agreed it's barmy money, really wasn't expecting 70 upfront.

Still find the Lovren mistakes against Tottenham unbelievable. He misjudged the flight of the ball and ran under it, you wouldn't even see that on the playground.

I mis-judged the flight of a long punt in my final sunday league game. Ended up flicking it on and helping tge attacker. I was taken off at HT and never given a chance to make amends.

Hope he ****ing smashes Rooney for you mate.

Yeah but mistiming one of those heavy leather balls was unforgivable:bandit:
