If you go for the high press against this lot and either get it wrong or the entire team doesn’t fully commit to it, then good luck.

The key IMO is keeping Neto quiet. He has been their best player in the last matches and if he is given time and space to run against our CBs we are in big trouble.

It's hard to remember when we actually did a high press as a team. One of our downfalls with recent form

Looking forward to another flat performance tonight. If we go a goal down heads will drop.

Jota and fabinho and salah wont let us down.

Trnet and robertson will through. Bet you robertson plays everyone onside again and trent gets all turned around and lets someone cut in again.

This. We hardly ever press nowadays. We do the same as most other PL teams, drop back and defend the box :(

there a difference though between high press and just a high line with lots of space behind.

yes we drop off now after a preiod when we lose the ball and that but he reality is in transition we are wide open as we are still high but nobody is killing themselves to press hard on the the ball to stop that good ball over the top.

Even v leipzig we sat off for a period and they had serious joy knocking it long for 15mins. then we finally made subs and got some energy back and shut that down.

Glad with the team. Hopefully similar performance to that last week.

Glad Carragher decided not to go into management and therefore will never manage Liverpool. He'd have us playing like Houllier <doh>
