Well if it's just trophies, most of the rest should just pack it up and go.

Obviously at the pinnacle, it is about trophies. Do we really need reminding that we haven't even been on the same f#cking mountain, let alone near the pinnacle!!

People need to give Klopp the time he needs to get to the top. Then judge him. If you think that he's already had enough time, then that's your opinion but I disagree. Klopp could have walked into a number of already established teams and be winning things. He didn't, he walks into a mess. Last post in this from me as it clearly comes down to opinions, and we all deserve one.

Yep, Klopp joined us with a 4 year plan to win a title. 4 years later he's top of the league with one of the best seasons in our history and some people want to whinge he isn't also winning the FA cup <laugh>

I think we can all agree on your last sentence <ok>

It is a game of opinions. Not only, that we often have different perceptions of the same match and players performances.

Klopp decided to take a position on a match. Some of us disagree but he is the boss and has to take that decision. Although I disagree with him in this instance I fully understand why he took it.

What a master class in how to throw a cup tie - done superbly.

On another note, what a shame that Wolves have joined the ranks of 'buying' their way to where they want to go instead of doing it the old fashioned way.

I wish Wolves every success in their next game.

I remeber the year Liverpool crashed out of the league and fa cup as one of the best years in the clubs history.

Yeah, that local lad at CB last night for Liverpool shows the way it’s done. :bandit:

Then next season we might as well say, 'Sorry; we don't want to go into the third round draw, thanks all the same!' <doh>

Or maybe we can draw a cup team that isn't in the PL for the first time in 7 years?

We can't all be as "lucky" as City and get to play semi-finals against League One teams.

You put a lot of work into these posts, so I apologise that I don't have the patience or commitment to answer each point.
So, a general reply:
Surely you can "feel" that this season is the closest we have been for a very long time? We may have been on the brink of success in the Suarez season, but we were so reliant on him, whereas we now have greater potential throughout the team. What we have now would walk the league this season if it weren't for the presence of City. We have to remain focussed on the big prize and I believe it's now or never. Win it and we'll attract better players to continue to build, fail and we won't.
Winning the FA Cup would have no influence whatsoever on bringing players in, there may be a nostalgic attachment to it amongst native fans and players but on the world stage domestic cups mean nothing.
When I think of my life watching football, I don't go to a list of trophies won and stare at it - I remember great games, great players and great incidents. The most enjoyable time I've had as an LFC fan in recent years was watching the football in 13-14, and particularly Suarez, of course. That stands out in my memory even though we won nothing. You say 2nd means nothing, but it means many great memories to me - and they're more valuable than counting cups.
It's the games that matter to me, not the lifting of trophies.
I'm not saying they're irrelevant, but great football should eventually bring trophies anyway and I'm confident that if we continue in our current vein they will come - but I'm genuinely baffled by fans who think trophies are the raison d'etre of football.
Players though want to win things (show us your medals) not that you'd think that after watching some of ours yesterday.

That's crap, Wolves are doing what any team including us would do if someone invests.
