Wish I was more upset by this. Poor and disjointed performance but we can’t expect anything less really from the team selection.
Expected more from the experienced players apart from Fabinho who I thought was our MOTM. Youngsters gave a good performance as well.
We have bigger fish to fry lads - we’ve already lost Lovren today through injury and we simply don’t have the squad to play in 4 competitions.

It's exactly what was required though. VvD and the front 3 needed a rest, as did our full backs.
Keita needs game time. I guess we didn't foresee an injury to the only CB on the pitch, perhaps Lovren wanted a rest too!
I have no issues with Klopp prioritising. With our squad depth vs Citys, it's imperative that we rest players when we can.
Well, that was a ****in let down and a half!!! 
For Christ's sake we need a ****ing trophy and he fields donkeys like Moreno and Mignolet! Another season we get dumped out early doors! In Shankly and Paisley's day we threw everything to get something. Not these ****ing days! Christ I'm livid!

So he can risk playing the likes of Mane and Salah, tire them out or injure them for a competition that isn't a priority. Or he can give a chance to fringe players and some youngsters.
I'd rather keep the players fit for league games tbh and have less games to fit in, especially with CL starting back up

It's unpleasant but at least it's confirmation who aren't even squad players attitude wise. I'd rather have a bunch of hungry kids as back up than the likes of Sturrudge and Moreno...

Yep, should be a points reward. Could benefit everyone massively and worth playing for.
Yeah tbf on this point.... Klopp constantly asks the fans for more effort in PL and Europe games but dishes that out to the ones that travel the country for the club.
Pretty sure everyone who travelled tonight knew what was coming in terms of team selection.
