Yes, and the Aussies have just made it 1-1 by winning in Perth. Only a four test series so nicely poised.
Klopp provides positive update on Trent fitness Jürgen Klopp has provided a positive update on Trent Alexander-Arnold's fitness. The Liverpool right-back will not be available for Friday night’s trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers as he continues to recover from the knock he sustained against Napoli a week ago. But there is hope that Alexander-Arnold can return to contention for the Reds’ fixtures after Christmas, the manager revealed. “It actually looks surprisingly good,” said Klopp. “I think Wolves will still be a bit too early but after that, they told me we can think about him. “But for that, he needs to train. So far he didn’t train but the pain goes down second by second, which is good, and then in the moment when he can deal with it, he is on the pitch, and in the moment he is on the pitch we’ll make a decision. “But it looks good for Trent.” https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/330792-jurgen-klopp-alexander-arnold-liverpool
It looks like the team will pick itself largely for Friday. Big al Clyne lovren vvd robertson Fabinho Henderson Mane firmino Keita Salah. Not what I'd do but klopp seems to want Keita high on left rather than as a no 8 cm right now. Shaqiri windy and Milner available.
Not questioning you as I'm sure that'll be the line-up but... All the front four out of their best position, ridiculous! Should be... Salah - Keita - Mane Bobby
probably should be. or at least Keita advance in a midfield 3. I don't think klopp thinks Keitas defence is up to much.
I know we all say Salah is better on the right bit this season his goals per game playing CF is far superior to when he’s on the right. I agree last year he was far better out there cutting in, running between cb and lb but I wonder if klopp thinks with our new style and teams sitting back more that he can’t run in behind so is wasted out wide and wants him in the middle as he’s definitely our best finisher. Keita wide has surprised me but he’s been decent there. Still think it’s maybe jus while he’s adapting to pace and over next 6 months we’ll see him move back into CM. When he has the ball at his feet he’s a great little player though, not scared to take the ball on, just less risky our wide atm
If klopp gets a free week and a sunshine training camp he will be working on defensive structures with keita. We lost goals early on due to keita playing LCM and not doing well defensively.
Ive noticed he’s very tenacious in getting around players but when he’s fronted up 1v1 he’s been pants defensively and players have just strolled past him. on top of that he doesn’t follow his man on 1-2s
yeah.. he was never a no 6 like.some called him when we were initially.trying to buy. he's a dribbler and creator. we really.just want him to work with Robertson on left side and cover.
Cant really say so as we have conceded 7 league goals and they have absolutely nothing to do with Keita. In fact the only goal(s) we conceded due to him was the Carabao cup. Keita's issues IMO seem to be a case of struggling with the physicality and intensity of the league. One pundit put it well i.e. he will need a season like Bernado Silva to see his true potential.
