Real pressure on the team to do well this season. The expectations are right up there as this time there is no excuse. We spent the most of all the top teams, by a large margin. And Klopp has managed to get the players he wanted in.

GK and CB sorted. We've got the midfield and attack ready. But I am worried about the players coping with the pressure. They are now expected to win every match. Even against City who we beat last season.

That's why we have to start well. Against one of the worst away team in the league. Even a draw will ramp up the pressure but I can't see us messing this up.

4-0 with Salah getting a brace.

Only fans care about that. For the teams expenditure is a matter of transfer fee + wages spread out over the life of the contract.

I'd be surprised breaking it down like that if we are paying as much as say, United, City, or Chelsea for the coming year. Fans might feal the pressure but I'm sure Klopp is not under an ultimatum to win or any undue pressure.

Top 4 is definitely expected I'm sure.

After we spent so much I cannot believe that the club (owners, management and even fans) would not expect us to do better than last season. We’ve always gloated at the likes of Chelsea and the mancs for spending huge and not winning the title. Now that we’ve joined them in the big spenders league I don’t think we can still use the “punching above our weight” card.

I can’t see how Klopp can escape some criticism if we don’t have a serious challenge for the title this season. All the pundits put us as the only team who can possibly deprive City of the title.
