I was surprised VAR did not take a look at that. He had both hands on Fabs shoulders, this prevents the defender jumping and he also leveraged more height pushing Fab down. I was sure it would be disallowed when I saw it but VAR does not seem to work for us
Nah never a foul. Was good play, he got up early which meant Fab couldn’t get up off the ground. Never gonna get a foul for it.
Agreed. It looks bad when you show one frame like that though tbh but it’s clutching at straws a little to suggest the goal be ruled out for it. reality is that we had the game won. We had control but relinquished it. Klopp knows it. We all do. Wnd of story and focus on what is next.
I'm not complaining about the officiating in our game and we got what we deserved - but on a general point, since when did climbing on an opponent cease to be a foul? I bet poor old Crouchy wishes it had happened when he was playing - he got done for it virtually every time he went for a header.
think is a difference between climbing and getting up early to prevent your opponent from getting a good jump in
I think it’s a foul and would have been called if it happened on anywhere else on the pitch. With that said, the draw was fully deserved so I was far more concerned with our ****e performance rather than a contentious foul that didn’t go in our favour.
'Making a back' used to be considered dangerous play, now it gets a free kick in your favour. It's lauded as the Kane 'signature move' . It's extremely dangerous and needs eradicating.
