Short sighted from Nevin that. Every individual in that back 5 this season has made the defensive unit stronger.

How do you know? Did you watch all of wolfsburgs games and training? Didn’t he score a handful of goals early on in his loan spell there and then they dried up later in season when the team were struggling and only just avoided relegation. Not many striker will score 20 goals for a team fighting relegation.

Maybe hes not an individual player. Some players can standout in poor teams if they do a lot themselves. Always make the comparison of Ronald and messi. Ronaldo would be a much better player in a struggling side than Messi would because one is more individual and one relies on link up with team mates.

Who knows, with better players, Wilson might slot in nicely and link up well.

vidic's career as a media pundit was limited to literally a few minutes after saying that. luckily he can always fall back on bbc hack status

Not just that back five I named; Fabinho, Lovren, Matip, Milner and Hendo have all played in one of those positions, even Clyne and Moreno have contributed a little too.

Origi is similar to Moreno for me. He's got the physical attributes to be a good player for us, but is simply brain dead and constantly makes poor decisions. Klopp's team requires speed of thought and flexibility; Origi will never fit in. We've just got to hope he can somehow fluke a few goals before the end of the season and cover for our three.

no he didn't score very.many and his manager there summed up origis efforts quite succinctly.
it's very clear that there's no defending origi on his loan. he stunk the place out.

Well he got 4 in his first 10 games so not too bad. After that record wasn’t great but as I said, team was playing in were terrible, ended up with 7 in 37 (not sure how many were starts/subs though)

look... he had a whine and a moan to the press... he got subbed after 42mins in one game.
he got shunted out to right wing... he got dropped.

at what point do we stop applying the big defence of guy who's never going to fit here and just admit that his attitude has been found wanting several.times now.

he's playing for his career.... I find that better than what Markovic did... but I'm not going to sugarcoat it either.
