There's no way that Spurs will be as bad as that in possession in the 2nd half. We need to step it up.
 
I like the score. I don't like how we're playing so defensive so early.

Funniest part so far was Vertongen trying a nasty elbow to Wijnaldum's head but injuring himself instead. <laugh>

I mean it's one of the worst games of football I've seen and we have been dreadful. Is our tactic to just let Tottwnham have the ball? And when we win it just kick it to their defence.
 
Both teams been meh. No coincidence given it’s been 3 weeks since they last played. Ridiculous scheduling really.

Anyway, great start, clear pen you’ll ever see for handball. How anyone argues it is unreal. Sissoko has his arm outstretched above his shoulder ffs... if that’s not an unnatural position and making body bigger then I don’t know what is.

Passing has been pretty poor, looks like content to let spurs have it and try get Mane in behind in counter.

Well the game can be summed up as a deffo penalty and both teams can play better than they did in the first half. If we do not step it up then I can see Spurs scoring in the first 15 minutes of the second half. Our defence has looked a bit wobbly for the first time this season without Spurs looking that dangerous
 
did say i expected a grim game after neither team had played for 3 weeks but dear God the rest of Europe must be wondering how much both teams spent in EUFA bribes to end up here based on that 45.
Why we decided to totally sit back and just lump it down the wings for Salah and/or Mane to chase is beyond me .
However if it stays like this who ****ing cares <laugh>
 
spurs last tactical talk now. once that's done they are on their own bar subs.

both teams are flat. lots of simple spurs errors. lots of poor poor balls that they'd normally kill us with better passes.

we are just sitting incredibly narrow and not showing for ball.

we've pinned both full backs back so we've let spurs have the field.

Klopp will be furious. Unless we take control of this game we are asking for a Spurs comeback. Get the ball, pass the ball, keep possession. Probe when the opportunity arises but don’t sit back and invite pressure like the first half

It will be a different set up in the next half, it's ****ing roasting in Spain, both teams looking to conserve their energy.

You can't run about like a dick and last 90 minutes in that weather.

In saying that, playing pedestrian football we've still looked dangerous. Son looks up for it for spurs though. A tense 45 coming up.

Oh I really do think mane aimed for his arm, who the **** runs into the penalty area with their arm outstretched.
