Right lads, serious question here. Not easy and highly subjective - meaning we will all have our opinions and none will be wrong....so remember that when answering. Where in the history of LFC does Klopp sit in relation to other managers? For me, he has ignited the club, the city, the fans. I’ve watched Liverpool for my entire life. I’ve seen every single CL success and remember them all. We’d been in the wilderness for well over a decade when Klopp arrived. What he has done is nothing short of miraculous given what he inherited and what he has spent when compared to City. He still has a way to go in terms of trophies - but what the man has done for the club is amazing. Shankleyesque imo. We are on the cusp of something very very special imo.
Klopp is ready to go ahead of Rafa; 2 CL finals, 1 win, plus a PL title challenge Klopp needs to win the Community Shield and Super Cup, then do better than an FA Cup next season Klopp has had far better owners mind
His strategy to go for the jugular in the first minute was brilliant. No way could either team play a fast game in that environment - a warm Madrid night at an altitude of 3000 feet. It is not every week a PL side plays in under those circumstances, so he had thought out his strategy brilliantly well in advance. I wouldn´t mind guessing that each outfield LFC player covered around a 1km less than normal.
he has a different charisma to shankly. shanks was.... tough, serious, awe inspiring. klopp is tough but he's in the end hugely decent, mad as a brush and irascible. he is joyous. but don't mix up achievement with dynasty. we may not win anything more. a lot of people want to say this me and x or y. all it means is we have won. it doesn't mean we will again. only klopp can bring them on from here
The Liverpool chairman, Tom Werner, believed Coutinho now regretted that decision to seek a move away from Anfield. “I think he left Liverpool because he wanted to play for one of the two big Spanish clubs,” Werner told the Liverpool Echo. “We tried to convince him that we had the club moving in the right direction and that he could experience big Champions League occasions by staying at Liverpool. “I think he probably regrets his decision.”
I agree. There is no dynasty and there may never be. But I wasn’t just referring to what has happened on the pitch - which is great. It was also a reference to how we as fans have rallied to his cause. I don’t see the same fan response from City or Chelsea who have dominated football for a decade in the UK. What is happening off the pitch is impressive and has everything to do with what is happening on the pitch....it wasn’t quite the same with Rafa....
Shanks Sir Bob Sir Kenny ***an Klopp Rafa Houllier Evans Obviously loads of other managers I've missed but this gives the gist... Souness Woy!
I would personally bump Klopp above ***an Klopp is/has building/built - it more his aura and personality It will only be in his departure that we will get to see the fullness of the job completed But other than that totally agree
I can only judge on recent managers (houllier onwards). He’s created the best team I’ve ever seen from lfc but he’s also had the best backing when compared to Rafa. The team rafa won it was was bang average so that achievement was incredible Albiet we got our luck but klopp built a squad that was favourites to win it. Id have to say for pure entertainment and quality he’s the best manager I’ve seen at lfc
Rafa's winning team was a bit average, but he then created a great team with Alonso, Mascherano, Gerrard, Torres etc. I think our team now is much better and two Champions league finals in a row and league form would suggest so
Without Shanks none of it would have happened. Difficult to know how much was Shanks and how much was Bob Paisley but they were an unbeatable partnership.
rafa was a time where social.media and **** was kicking off and fans literally worshipped at his feet, and Gerrard, and Torres. jurgen is a perfect fit. if he voted here he'd vote Labour. he's a boozing cursing ****hound he says thinks he shouldn't he's a goofy looking joker. BOOM.... ha ha ha... insert silly grin here. it is instant love and a mere hired hand can't have that. but most of all. he and his team work hard and are honest.
