If we play a really high line i fear Kane & Son will rip us a new one . PS Kane & Son sounds like an Educational supply company .
I see the optamism is flowing freely on here as usual, how can we possible cope against a spurs team which are so superior, while we are so ****e. But whats this, how can we be joint top if they are so superior, could it be that things arnt as bad as people are making out.
Oh they are... And could get worse, but the drop in consistent performances is inevitable with so many key injuries... but the talk of lack of hunger or desire is poppycock Yes we are in a **** situation squad wise, table wise imo we're doing better than last year... Considering our depleted team we should/could be some points away from spurs, but we're not, klopps Working miracles at the moment imo. Doom and gloom my arse basically.
Don't agree Spurs are superior as atm they really need other teams to come on to them and hit on the break which they have been doing really effectively . I would say overall right now both teams are about equal ,as shown in the points , however that tilts there way in a head to head if we leave them 2/3rds of our half to run into .
I meant things are as bad as we're making out (player wise) not that spurs are superior to us. They're not.. They would not be level with us with a full squad at our disposal, which we don't have. so for this game I put spurs as favourites personally.
Honestly I'd take a draw right now so anything more will be a massive bonus imho, a win for us could rattle spurs and affect them mentally going forward by planting that seed of doubt they've become best mates with over recent years. Lose and they'll be buzzing and likely have the confidence to go on a run. Not looking forward to it tbh
its always nice to hear incisive analysis of the tactics and systems of football and in this case having given it great thought i concur with Mickey .
On here, as in life generally, people tend to fall into the optimist or pessimist camp - it's just how we are. The same doomsters will have been saying the same things before the games with City, Leicester, Wolves etc. Occasionally they'll be right, then a bit of confirmation bias creeps in - the "called it" mentality. We're all prone to giving greater weight to the times we get it right than to those when we're wrong. Some are just more fearful before the event than others- I've long since given up on expecting the world to do what I want it to do so I'm generally hopeful, when it comes to football at least. The one thing that does irritate me a bit is the excessive (imo) criticism thrown at the team when they're not quite on top of their game. We're all disappointed, but I don't get why some take it as a personal affront.
Great innit? As I already stated, Mourinho will **** himself and park thre bus because it's Anfield. We'll ****ing smash'em
