Great performance last night, loved it. Front three firing again, Trent looking better, Thiago superb even if he is not fully fit. But Matip is out again. We have to bring in cover at CB. Fabinho is injured as well so our present cover for CB is injured. What does it take for the owners to get on with it? But so happy with the performance last night and hoping for something similar against the Hammers
Yeah shouting at Dire & Lloris "one of you take ****ing control " tbf he had a point as Bobby must have been amazed when they allowed the ball to bobble through to him
Much more like it. That was a welcome return to form for several players who have been woefully out of sorts, particularly front three and Trent. They played for each other last night. There were signs against the scum on Sunday, but they wiped the spuds out last night. Gob on Mourinho So pleased Mane found the back of the net. So was he. Wham won't have enjoyed that performance
I think I'm more relieved than happy after the game ha! Relieved that we: a) got 3 points b) scored goals c) played well It was a really good performance and a throwback to when we were dominating teams left right centre last season. It does feel like Klopp has taken the shackles off and is letting us play our natural game and pushing the full backs higher up the pitch. Yes, it will leave us exposed but we have the quality to dominate possession and to score goals. Big shout outs to Trent, Gini and Bobby - 3 players who have been massively underperforming and I hope this is the turning point for them. Trent especially given he is a crucial attacking outlet for us. Mane bagged a goal and assist which he desperately needed and I also though Salah played really well.
tbf when he realised we had no CB's it was very sporting of him to decide it was only fair that they played without a CF
You could see Dier holding his arms out as an invitation for Lloris to collect it, so they both left it.
I've always thought of Lloris as distinctly underwhelming for a supposedly top-class keeper. How he came to captain both club and country is a mystery to me.
He's a good shot stopper and can make some really standout saves. But, he's poor at commanding his defence, coming for crosses and he'll drop a clanger on a fairly regular basis. I think he's cpt for club and country cause there werent many other candidates when he got the job.
ive said for years that he’s a slightly better version of mignolet. both very good shot stoppers on their day, can pull out brilliant saves. but will throw one in every 5 games hes average at claiming crosses not great with ball at his feet very overrated in my opinion
Although Dier should deal with it too, I think Lloris is at fault... keepers are taught to clear everything; ball, opponent and teammate. He should have claimed it. He also ****ed up for Trent's goal
