Decent result, played well with in ourselves Jota and Henderson where probably the stand out, but special mention for Joe who didn't put a foot wrong all game, very solid.
Nice win in an awkward game, especially after VAR gave them a penalty. West Ham next who will be awkward, Hope Thiago is fit for that one.
Saw Joe shouting at / organising Fabinho a fair few times too. Maybe there's a leader in there somewhere
Gomez seems to have stepped up his game following VVD getting injured. Still miss Fabinho in the midfield though, maybe Matip will be back for West Ham. The return of Allison helps the back four as well, they seemed less nervous tonight
You’d hope as a natural Cb who has been at the club a good few years he’d feel confident to order Fabinho around if needed
Jota & Gomez stood out for me though the real stand out moments were some of Salahs touches , Have to wonder how the game would have been without their pen as we had started off looking really bright and after it just became a battle .
Spawny dat. Think the one pen they got was gash (the foul was given for the trailing leg, wasn't it? ), but they had two better shouts and didn't get one. Mo was wasteful again. But this is was it is until January. Get worse as well when Matip comes back, then really gets injured for three months. 3 points though...
