Like I say he has to check and has to react sooner but it's Clynes mistake there is no other way of looking at it, Clynes fault combined with Skrtel not reading the game or reacting correctly but Clynes fault.

That's fair enough but Clyne is a good defender and doesn't make this mistake that often. Skrtel does every week - sooner he p*sses off, the sooner we can replace him someone who can actually defend.

 

I think they'll both get better with Klopp in charge once they get the formation.

I thought it was Clyne's worst performance for us today but still miles above Johnson. Moreno was very good today and has been since he got back in the first team.

 

Yep agree with that we need a more controlled confident center back, Skrtel has done ok for us and been a good servant but his time is done.

I like Clyne. defends well and supports the attack well. got in some good crosses tonight.

 

Lucas love in? Was very good, passed the ball well and quickly, broke up play both deep and high up the pitch would have loved his shot to have gone in.

Milner was useless today, an absolute passenger, Sakho was the captain tonight, let's be honest. I'd rather drop Coutinho in to Milners position then allow an extra body up top on, we looked much more threatening when Benteke was on the pitch.

 

This is what I mean by scapegoat Jimmy. You're having a go at Lallana (first half) and Skrtel for the opinion you have formed on them rather than the game they played. Neither were bad today.

I think motm is between Lallana and Sakho. Skrtel had little to do but what he did do he did well. He wasn't at fault for the goal.

PS...you're not the only one. Jaffa just claimed Clyne and Moreno are poor (I normally she on Moreno but he's looked great in the last two games)

 

End of the day it's early doors not going to get on anyones back lets see how this develops and back the lads.

Agreed - sooner get Coutinho playing in a deeper position where he will get more space. But that's if it's a midfield 3 which we have played under Klopp. Sooner or later, he will go back to a 4-2-3-1 and I'm not sure if a place in the front 3 is best suited for him.

I hope we get rid of Milner - he's far too expensive to merely be a squad player.
