Was at the game last night. We had a lot of the ball and no final ball, first half was poor in general. Second half was better, but again poor final ball. Gomez just isnt a RB, it just doesnt work. We need cover in full back desperately. The ref was just awful, biased at times but more so he just disrupted the flow of the game constantly. Overall what a **** up by us, now we have to go all out otherwise we could end up in Europa
I'd rather go out than be in that. Sadly, unless Genk can somehow get 10 points against Napoli it's not happening.
Not been on the prem yet. Tobes has already told me to change it, but everyone on there has got Ricky Tomlinson now. Sigh, missed the bus again...
It's difficult for me to put any comp on the back burner, I feel that if we are going to be great again then cups are just as important as the league, truly great teams are judged on doubles and trebles not just single wins. Yes the CL has become huge in modern footy so winning that is massive and winning the league for the first time in forever would be just as big if not bigger but call me crazy if you like but I want a double or more to really seal our arrival back as a force.
Mate, everything this season is about the Prem. get that monkey off our back and you can win as many trebles and quadruples that you want. Indeed, if we end up this season winning The Super Cup, The CWC , the League Cup, the FA Cup and the CL it will still be a failure in my book if we don't win the Prem from this position.
It's frustrating how we play in the group stages it's like we're playing with the handbrake on. Once through to the knockout we're a different beast that nobody wants to get. Praying now that we see this through all it'll take then is a decent first knockout draw and if we get through we'll go close again.
Yeah it's been so long and I suppose I'm being greedy but I just want us to win everything This team is something special and I don't want it to fade away without being regarded as one of the best ever.
I'd really like both ideally, of course. What you say is bang on. This season though I'll easily take the long awaited PL title over CL again, if it has to be one. I'm not sure we're playing just well enough to be able to win both, but who really knows, maybe we're doing exactly what's needed for the double, we'll find out in the end
Though we can only get one point in this game. I am happy that we maintain our unbeaten record at home.
