top class german opposition they just escaped the relegation play off by the skin of their teeth but on other news its good to see the mighty schalke 04 defeat their inferior rivals borussia dortmund in the super cup :) gelsenkirchen twinned with newcastle.
 
0-0 against a team with only one player I've heard of, it's what friendlies are about lads meaningless games to try and bed in new players and get some sort of tactics sorted out. The Bramble thing is a worry though don't think he'll make it in the starting 11 be pushing the subs bench for me anyway.

Well Munchen can be classed I suppose as a German 'Premier' team. They have to be decent to be in the league.
