What are everyone's thoughts on the new CL Format?
I do think it aesthetically makes the fixtures seem more interesting in the group stage, but on the other hand, only 8 teams drop out and the extra games in an already packed schedule are a pain.

I find the new format frankly ridiculous because there are no reverse fixtures. Its silly and is purely there to increase the number of games and increase the number of so-called "glamour ties".

Edit: I just realised there are four if you're in the play-offs.
The no reverse fixtures is a bad thing, as the draw could be more heavily weighted against you I suppose - but there again, if you can't make it after the play-offs you probably don't deserve to be there. I could be wrong, will have to see how it pans out.
I like the idea of scrapping the Europa drop-in, I never felt that was fair on the EL teams.
I'll give it a chance, seeing as we have no choice anyway.

If we play like we did against Forest we will get hammered tonight. It will be interesting o see if our new "Italian maestro" gets a game, even off the bench.
Agreed, but we still need to pass accurately and the forwards see when someone is in a better position than them!
Milan are Italian. They will do anything needed to get a result.
In the end if we run off out of position they will do us over like Atlantic did.
Forest were not as good at finishing that's all. It was a really bad show there. Too many bodies making stupid errors and not only in the passing. Just wondering off like 8t was klopp times.

And we should be dead happy to take that and sit off or better yet win a bunch of corners and be trying to hit vvd and konate.
The single thing I despise (not hate, literally I despise) so far about slot is seeing two big giant cbs crowding a keeper who can't be touched or it is a free then trying to run away from goal to get a glancing header.
If we score anything from these corners I'll be shocked.
We've managed to wipe out the one big source of gaols no low block can stop.
Forest couldn't defend a corner worth a damn and still can't. We got one header vvd eas trying to run out from goal and glances weakly wife.
We should be well happy sides play narrow and deep with two massive targets like vvd and konate who are then backed with szobo and gravenberch.
Win corners and sling them in and attack them.
The merest touch on a keeper amd we get blown up as well.
