God that was painful and i worry about the number of first teamers who played considering most of the second string did themselves no favours .
I thought Minamino did well in the first half, tbh. Did nothing in the second (apart from score a goal which looked legit) - but then the whole team fell apart after half time. I've said before it hardly ever works when we bring on the big guns late on, the impetus has just gone. As for VAR... ...it's a ****ing disaster - completely ruining football - but no-one will admit to their love-child being an expensive mistake.
Well that was odd. I think they technically got all the decisions right but as just very odd one. first looked miles offside and with the dodgy angles in never sure how accurate these lines are as as the lines showed him about 2 yards on?! I guess have to just trust them and say was onside so pen decision was correct. he second one, they got right but the guy was off the pitch. He’s therefor he was offside, I don’t understand why that took so long and why they went back to check the initial free kick line... who knows. The goal. It hit manes hand by the other replay they showed.. but Jesus how is that deliberately? He was having a header on goal, why would he then stop it with his hand on purpose? I don’t get handball these days so maybe I’m wrong and it’s technically right, just seemed strange.
What happened at HT? I was cooking dinner so didn’t pay much attention but after 15 mins they had all the ball and were all over us? Young players and those back from injury tiring?

Last 16 could be anything and will depend on a ton of stuff, not least form at the time, injuries are the time and so on....I’m just happy that we’re in the draw and have a great chance of progressing, even with our current injury list.
The stream i had for last nights game was a bit hit and miss so add in the ref & Var and it all became seriously weird as at times i couldn't tell if i was buffering or the Var man was on the bog instead of in front of his monitor .
