My bad. In that case it’s even worse. We needed that equaliser and the subs were not as good as Thiago and Firmino!!Those subs were made after MU's 3rd
Klopp has really baffled me and many other fans. When we were 2-2 and well on top with their defence at exes and sevens he removed Thiago and Firmino. These 2 had taken hold of the game after a tentative start and there is no doubt in my mind we would gone on to win it. When these were subbed, our game and edge disappeared and they seemed uplifted. We never regained our composure and our dominance after that. The die was cast,
Did anyone see Thiago’s attempt to recover when Pogba took it off him? He was absolutely knackered, had to come off
He's been thrown in at the deep end out of necessity and he's not ready for it, imo.
He doesn't have much pace, and he hasn't the maturity yet to compensate for that. Our style doesn't help him in that respect either. If we had a full complement of defenders he'd be nowhere near the first team just yet.
I hope the baptism of fire doesn't undermine his confidence for the future.
Last season he was playing for Kidderminster. Wouldn’t be close to first team if it weren’t for injuries so can’t blame the kid. He played really well in first few games he played but consistency is always going to be issue. Problem is you can understand a centre forward skinning him, but just missing the ball right at you is Sunday league stuff which is annoying.
That still doesn’t excuse the fact that we’re in need of a central defender and we didn’t have one lined up at the open of this transfer window and it’s obvious we won’t be getting one.

You mean to say they didn't have you quaking in yer boots? When he threw on Origi and Shaqiri? Yeh knew Klopp had thrown the towel in then
And btw it was 3-2 then![]()

God help us for Spurs, literally just smash it down the channel to Son and you’ll have a field day as Trent is 60 yards upfield walking back after giving it away.
why no one is screaming at the boy I don’t know
Listen, I christened him Virgil Van Williams as an affectation, and I still say he hasn't missed one header (and he was left on his own to face Rashford for most of the game as Trent was playing right-wing, Salah can't tackle and gives up the moment anyone goes past him, despite being one of the quickest footballers on the planet), but let's get real - he has zero pace and mediocre control. We knew Joe at that age would probably come good because, although not as good as Williams in the air, he did have pace and exquisite control. Williams should be on the fringe of the squad playing dead -rubbers in the CL and early round cup ties of the LC against lower division sides. He's only playing in an FA Cup tie against one of our biggest rivals in late January because our parsimonious owners, who had three months to prepare, would not buy a CB because the club lost money in the pandemic, just like everybody else. End of.
About time everyone stopped gushing at just what wonderful owners they've been just because they're not as bad as H&G: that's a ****ing low bar fellers.
