I would just like to point out......

How many times did you lot look at our box as the ball wnet wide to milner. There was NOBODY in there.

Henderson windy nor fabinho were ever going to go and join that box and make the numbers.

Thats why imo we don't score from midfielders. you might get the odd one but the reality is the 3 CMs that started yesterday were all no 6's.

left left milner out to play RB so TAA wouldn't be risked, we saw no reason to change that at all in game. We left keita on bench, we took of henderson finally and but shaqiri on.. he never made any runs in irther.

Simply put mifielders can score by having shots or by getting to box late for cut backs or crosses. ours didn't do it.
 
The sooner ox is back the better imo.

Lallana can't do it. lets not kid ourselves.

Keita is a different type. he wants to dribble with the ball all day.

We need direct running, good lines, can play a forward pass but knows there the box is.

Seriously my original point was if he gets caught out of position he'll get walked past and won't be able to get back.

We had gomez and vvd before christmas and this really helped prevent those issues. we could all push up a bit. Are we as high up pitch now? nope.

If firmino is out we will just have to suck it up and play salah up top and try and work it that way.. simple as.

They didn't like Matip running at them, I would have brought Keita on to run at them

its the extra man.

Utd had their patterns, all very simple. henderson receives ball, make a small run at him, he knocks it back I retreat back to shape. rinse and repeat.

The Utd team were panicked the odd time matip just carried ball and they were oh **** do i close him down or do i stay here or what and they just backed off.

Its really simple. the issue we have is windy will run from one side of the pitch to the other and he might as well pick the ball up and hold it in his hands, run laterally then put the ball down a the feet of whoever he is passing too. Its ridiculous how he hogs the ball and then gets closed down and won't pass til hes almost on top of his team mate.

Henderson runs sideways or just passes back.

Once utd had a different problem to look at they fell apart. We were so sacred of losing we basically forgot to win.

I'd prefer Mane staying left, put Shaqiri right and let's see what Keita can do in the AM role
