Thiago looks like a steam train trying to chug into motion everytime he has to run more than a couple of yards. If we weren't in the **** he'd still be being rehabilitated 10 minutes here and there.

Wini looks to have lots a bit of edge, but he's on his way, he knows it and so does everyone else.

The biggest factor now is how long we have to wait for the cbs to come in and play, they've both apparently got pace so we should be able to resume our normal playing style. It may be a gamble, but if it pays off the rewards could be huge.

Obviously not given I've already posted my options today :)

Klopp has 4 now so if he still has to pick a midfielder instead he might was well not have signed anyone

I'd keep wijnaldum in as he is at least trying to run with the ball slightly, but yeah I'd be giving him a taste of the bench with thiago coming in.

He might as well get used to it as the splinters he will get at barca won't be a shock then :)

Gini basically gave up yesterday. Barely noticed him in the 2nd half.

Part of me thinks Gini might be starting to think about next season and whether he'll still be with us.

It was apparent yesterday and in a few previous games that when the ball breaks the hunger to chase back isn't as intense as it was.

It's like he actually has to think now, **** best get after him, rather than just harrying the player.

As always may be reading to much into something.

None seem to want to do the hard work.

If you got a look at what alisson had to pass to each time you'd know what I mean. Zero option as out ball. Credit to man city for shutting it off but it's depressing to see lads leave their team mates in that

Wini has dropped off, thiago just can't get round, jones is still very young.

To shore up defence, we ****ed the midfield, which has made the attack redundant.

I honestly thought Thiago would be "pinging" those long balls to the fast lads just like Virgil, been a bit of a disappointment quite frankly but always good for a yellow card <ok>

I think he looks surprised by the speed of transition by the league. Gets caught out every game and just clearly can't tackle.
Bit of a disappointment so far, but still think he will show his quality eventually

He's not been at the clubs he has for so long without top quality.
The PL does seem to catch so many great players out though when they first set foot here, some adjust some don't.

Makes you wonder why PL teams struggle in Europe relative to others.

Absolutely. Opposing fans are having a field day, but this isn't the Tiago who played against Everton and Chelsea. Again, he was REALLY badly injured in that assault by Richarlison - just look again how his knee inverts backwards. He should/could have been out for the season. There's still some Anfield medical staff think he shouldn't have played again until he had an op, and others who think he'll still need one in the summer. And there's shades here of what to expect if we rush back Virgil and Joe (but we won't). Knees are worse than leg-breaks, just ask Ox, and it can be measured in years rather than months as to when someone gets back to normality.

He was before he got assaulted by Richarlison. Just go back and look at his performances against Chelsea and Everton before THAT tackle. The one that Ancellotti said Richarlison was 'unlucky' to be sent off for.

I'll say again, he looked mint before he was badly injured. I truly think he's been rushed back when, had we been playing Hendo and Fab in midfield, we could have phased/delayed his return in a more manageable way.

    Alisson first blooper

    upload_2021-2-9_10-14-16.png

At this point he has already decided not to pass once and stepped back.

    upload_2021-2-9_10-13-26.png
Alisson has now encouraged the press. Still looking for options long.

you will note shaqiri has not made any effort to be an option. you will also note wijnaldum has ran behind the pressing player so has not made any option.

allison serious ****s up by not putting ball out to henderson. Drag back puts himself in awful position. Again nobody has moved

    upload_2021-2-9_10-21-47.png
Alisson has taken the only route he's left himself.

Again shaqiri hasn't reacted. 3 city players have.

    Fabinho hacks it out.

again, city alive to it. Wijnaldum still hasn't really done much reacting and shaqiri is stock still. no sign of milner either.

poor image but now we see robertsn who has never move in this scenario once.

shaqiri has decided to run forward

TAA has started to run forward nobody is close to the ball where it is dropping and it makes the half way line

    upload_2021-2-9_10-25-56.png
now we already see shqirir out of the game again. the eventual goals scorer is gone.

henderson has not really got out. Milner is in no mans land still. theres a massive massive gap for city to play in.
