Nah, I'm conceding the league now I'm afraid. Simply because we are missing some crucial players until the end of the season, namely VVD. No one player is our system but I think this season really showed me that he is the most important person in our squad. His influence is not just that he's such a good defender but his aura, leadership and ability in the oppositions box as well. He's an all round threat.

I'm lowering my expectations and top 4 is the minimum, along with a good run in the CL.

The loss of VVD as effected the confidence the other players. They don't believe we're the same force without him and it shows.

His loss triggered a domino effect which led to other injuries across defence and midfield.

But VVD was a big part of how we could beat low blocks. Because we were able to play such a high line, we compressed the space that the opposition could operate in, we squeeze and pen them in, and they eventually buckle under the constant wave after wave of pressure. And he nullifies the opposition's best attackers so they have to find other ways to attack. And if we did struggle to create - we could rely on set pieces, where were we scored the 2nd highest number of goals last season.

And then it's not just him - we're constantly having 4-6 first teamers out every week. And it's not an exaggeration. How can any team survive this?

People need to chill.

Adopt a fatalistic approach here. Let it all play out.

We could win we can celebrate that win.

We could lose badly, it happens.

We need 4th secured next. We have secured our Premier league status already ;)

If we can get to 70 points quickly then think about 80 and 85 points.

The reality is however is that Leicester, utd chelsea, spurs and Liverpool. are all looking to how soon we all get to 70.

We may well have to accept 1.5 ppg as our level.

**** happens.
It did last night <doh>

I'm usually pretty upbeat, but injuries are killing us. We were pretty lucky with them last season, but **** me, we're paying the price now. We rob midfield to bolster the threadbare defence and therefore the attack isn't serviced effectively. What I can't understand is how well well we played against the yids and wham and then produce that cack last night <doh>

We'll probably win this ...

We’ve done relatively well against the top half sides and awful against the bottom sides. City won’t come to defend so I’m hopeful we’ll do well and get the points. As long as we play like we did against Spurs and West Ham.

The leagues not done, we're only 7pts behind and play Man City next. However, with how we're playing and injuries we've had, it'll probably be over after that game.

7 behind but city have a game in hand.

said yesterday win against Brighton and beat city then were 1 behind having played 1 more. Well in it.

i think anything less than a win and league is gone tbh. I said a month or two ago city were clear favourites when people were writing them off cos they were down in 7th but had 2 games in hand and they had started to breeze through teams.

as an when games started coming thick and fast they could rotate and keep same quality and that’s where the rest of the league have struggled.

they had no de bruyne and aguero... yet have Jesus (75 goals since he joined city) sterling, silva, foden, mahrez, Torres, and now even gundigan is smashing in goals. Just how can you compete with that much quality.
