On 1:58 is the best, where he puts his fist into the players gut and screams in his face when the player gets a bit uppity You know he's a legend when you'd watch 90 mins of him doing this thing
Have a feeling Bobby may start due to the media attention surrounding jotas form and Klopp being asked about Bobby's place in the team. Show of faith from Klopp so to speak, hope bobby chomps his fuking arms off.
Jota's just been to good to leave out imo He's earned it by being fantastic. He gives the defence and midfield something to thread a high ball or pass to. He will scare city just being on the field 100000% Jota must start
Bobby will start and probably do mothing except lose the ball trying fancy flicks, etc. Jota on 65th minute and will tear City to pieces, hopefully by then we are not to adrift with the scoreline to get something out of the game.
Normally I;d be confident we'll do well here, very confident Ever since empty stadiums, things have changed tho imo and an "any result" dice throw is now more possible than before
My guess is that Pep will prepare City as though Bobby will start, so there's something to be said for Jota starting just to wrong foot them if nothing else. That being said, I too think Bobby will start
It's a risk imo. You risk sending the wrong message to the squad and Jota. If he doesn't start considering his form and then Bobby's. Its also a risk because if you show faith again and start Bobby over jota and like someone said above he spends 60mins doing things that ain't working and gets hauled off for Jota anyway that's two players moral that could be negatively affected. Whereas starting Jota and bringing on Bobby, shows Jota "there's your reward for form lad do ya thing" and Bobby "go on and win us the game cos you're special and we need some magic" boosts both imo potentially. Maybe I'm thinking about it too much
Your reasoning has good foundation, and I felt the same, but I think commitment to the team, Klopp, the club and the plan should override that.
so if Matip isn't considered ready i assume Phillips will get the nod ahead of Williams based on Klopp comments before the WHam game .
