This is the toughest game of the season so far

Then we can relax with easy games against Man Utd, Genk, Spurs, and Arsenal

Vardy isn't as rapid as he was, sitting back actually plays to his strengths now.
I'm not sure I agree with this. We play so high up the pitch that the ball over the top can catch us out, especially down our right. I don't think Vardy has slowed so much that he won't be able to exploit that. I do think that Trent may have to hang back a little more than he usually does.

I'd back VVD to catch him easily, Newcastle played deep and Leicester loved it the full backs bombed on and Barnes and Perez played ball into the box, Vardys movement over small spaces was a problem even before they went down to 10 men.

He is much more clever now with his runs. Before he would chase anything and everything. Now he only makes the runs which will hurt teams and create space for others

This is what I noticed, he's not doing the big lung busting runs in behind but short sharp runs in and around the box.

If Matip is not fit, Gomez just needs to be told to keep in line with VVD. He is trying too hard to impress and as a result, making Lovren type mistakes. He is young and I am sure he is itching to come back to the first 11.

If you analyse the first two goals yesterday, it is because he was pushing up and getting exposed by the overload. He had no business going for those balls. What was suprising is VVD didn't give him a bollocking.

What Matip has learnt is to let the winger run to the RB channel and not commit similar to VVD. I am happy Salzburg gave us a good game and we can now work on what went wrong and slaughter Leicester hopefully.
