The only CB that I'd keep in our starting 11 is Matip.

If I thought Matip would guide the lad along sure all for it. But he won't so the lad hasn't the minerals to be a starting cb. Great on the ball but needs more basics ironed out.

    Matip ain't an organiser.

Yup. Like him or no nobody will find examples of him letting guys go.

I picked my mate up about 12 last weekend and he said klavan is in. I said bet on Aguero scoring then.

Wish I ****ing did. Klavan let's guys go. Matip doesnt.

I suppose it's something that the penny's finally dropped with Klopp that we have a problem. Such a pity he couldn't acknowledge it sooner!

The left footed attempt when Couts put him in was a better one, he could have done more with that

That's if you really believe that he's only just seen that we have a problem in defence.

That’s the thing - he clearly knows the defence is **** hence why he bought Matip and wanted to spend £60m plus on VVD.

My issue is that he was too stubborn to look for alternatives for the short term.

Just don't know why he slides? It's not that far ahead of him. We'll agree to disagree, I think you put Aguero in that position 10 times and he scores 9 of them.

Yeah, but what if you only put him in that position once like Solanke?

Nah, Aguero's stocky little legs wouldn't have reached the ball <whistle>........although his starting position, reading of the game and goal poaching instinct
    may have helped

Why does he have to persist with Klavan who is a seriously poor defender? Do we really have no one else?

That's how he works. Would you prefer him to do things outside his remit and change the way he operates?

His remit is to improve the team. We sold Sakho and even Lucas, without bringing in another CB. Our defence is seriously thin.

He needs to adapt because the PL has a lot of competition, the schedules are worse, the intensity and workload on players are higher.
