I would cos i judge them by what they did against us. They were terrible in wide areas and sole attacking idea was a long diagonal ball towards moreno's channel.

I thought Solanke played well until he got in front of goal <doh>

Link up was great and had a nice turn and shot in 2ns half. Can certainly see his potential.

Ox had a shocker, but klopp needs to coach 4 years of Wenger out of him. He needs time, confidence just looks shot ATM. As enricky said, you sounded that money on drinkwater, I know which I'd rather have <laugh>

Maybe because he's our weak link at the back so they targeted him? If I was setting up v Liverpool is change my whole tactic to target crosses and set pieces. Doesn't mean that's my only attacking idea, just you target oppositions weak points.

His socks were at him.... :emoticon-0114-dull:

Clealry once he sorts his socks out he will be brilliant. I seem to remember another Liverpool player who couldn't get his kit sorts. Mario something. perhaps ox will be as good as him one day.

That's not true at all mito, Hoff played some nice one touch attacking football in both legs, both wide and centrally. 4th in the BL last season behind Dortmund

Think we paid £35m rising to £40m depending on add ons.

At this rate I don't think we'll be paying any of the add ons <laugh>

they were bloody rubbish. Do you deny their 3 at the back was absolutely destroyed by our wide players. Away to them klopp got our lot in at HT cos we were just ****e and we told the two cbs to play it long and wide and we just cut them up.

90% of their danger came form that long ball.

I was not in the least bit impressed by them. One one jot.

Bisc imo is overstating the Solanke chances - yes he should have done better but they weren't as gilt edged as he made them sound.
On point 1 -yep we saved you £40m you ungrateful sod.:bandit:

    just a quick point.

Danny ings needs a haircut. looks ridiculous.

Jordan Henderson needs a shave. yer not xabi alonso mate.. you aint gerrard either. get a shave, tidy yourself up. pull up your socks and stand goal side of the ball miles away from any area you are tempted to play a blind pass or deep cross in.

to be fair to the lad i think Jimmys comments were getting to him calling him a coward for playing the sideways/backwards pass. He's just trying to be more adventurous and brave

The first one was a sitter. Was on the volley open goal and just managed to side shin it up on the air.

2nd was tougher on weaker foot but just needed to get less on it

on the first chance do you mean the one approx 20 mins in where he was on the slide to reach it ?
if so i don't agree on sitter & not what i would normally describe as an open goal.
the general description of Solankes game i fully agree with :emoticon-0148-yes:

The one from robertsons cross that he stuck out a leg to and shunned it up and away from goal. Cross was so good it took the keeper out the game and he just had to side foot it in from about 4 yards. He was on the stretch a bit but cmon, that chance wasn't difficult.

not what i call a open goal either.
At the time it felt like he should do a bit better but it was one where he didn't have full control as he was at full stretch as i remember it - oh & at least he stuck his leg out unlike Sturridge on Saturday when Milner crossed .<grr>

One thing to take from last night is that our forwards must anticipate the cross from Robertson being played in the area between the goalie and the defenders and be moving before he even hits it.

Would anyone prefer a Gomez/Matip partnership at the back this weekend, or Gomez at RB and lovren/Matip in the middle. I am assuming Robertson keeps his place at LB instead of Moreno.

Yes. Gomez should not be a starting CB yet but Lovren and Klavan are walking accidents. At least Gomez has some recovery pace for when he makes an error.

Lovren isn't going to improve us and will be either sold or bench next season.

Gomez for me looked really good against Leicester. As a RB he's very limited so i feel he struggles.

That was a hard chance. I thought originally he should have gone with head but I think it wasn't possible on replay.

I think it was a difficult chance as it was beyond the back stick.
