Let’s not overreact - it’s a tough time at the moment but imagine when we have Mane Salah Firmino Coutinho in the same team.

We need to get out of this slump quickly and I’m sure we will. The ‘positive’ is that we should have our last three games, and we were in it against City until Mane was sent off.

Woodburn is some way off the first team. Some nice touches but a lot of development required yet. Still a kid though. Solanke is very raw too...he should have scored. Good to see them in action though as I don't get to see the u23's play ever.

Klavan.....well we knew what he was at the end of last season so we deserve everything we get when he plays tbh.

Agreed. Utd and city romped away at the beginning of last season too. Not a big deal (yet).

Alright lads? ... in all honesty I think you just have to admire the tactical master class from Craig Shakespeare tonight. Deliberately play like we are absolutely crap in the first half, thereby lulling Jurgen Klopp into such a false sense of security that he removes Coutinho at half time.... absolute brilliance <ok>

More seriously, you should have been comfortably in front by half time and we got a bit lucky with the forced change that saw Okazaki come on .... the little man is often underrated and he was a real game changer for us tonight.

I'm obviously hoping for a similar result at the weekend - otherwise good luck for the rest of the season.

He’s definitely talented and I think he will develop into a tidy player. But just don’t think he’s ready yet.

I think Klopp is using him sensibly, on the fringes of the first team

This isn't really suprising imo, the 2 most important positions for you to strengthen were CM and CB and you got neither.

Stands to reason you're going to get similar results.

    Liverpool’s last four matches:
    87 shots
    3 goals
    0 wins.

Haha - still need a striker too

    That isn't far too reasonable.

It is quite clearly due to the @bentasfuckref

True, but your attack would be more than good enough if you could do just basic defending. Look at the great teams over the years, all had plenty of attacking riches but all could play out the 1-0 when they weren't on form too.

The fact is, every single side who comes up against you already know they will likely get a decent chance of scoring against you... it probably feels like that for your back 5/6 too.

    How many on target?

Wild punts from 25 yards can make the stats look good but if they are hitting the roof of the stand or the corner flag they mean little.

Last figure they put up on Sky just after the second goal was

    Shots on target
    Leicester 3 Liverpool 5

not a great deal of difference when you look at it like that.

Yep. Mugged by Leicester, again. Nothing I've seen suggests Saturday will be any different.

as i said short stay in this comp.

I thought robertson continued to look decent and Gomez was ok if a bit poor on the offside line. His pace and ability on the ball was excellent.
