I'm a big fan of Gomez too. He's much better than Matip and should keep his spot imo, especially with the pace Chelsea have up front. Plus, it's one game and one "mistake"!

"mistake" - Trent could equally be blame but I'd prefer to applaud a fantastic goal tbh. If we are blaming Gomez and looking to drop him, why not vent the same anger towards VVD for his (very obvious) mistake?

That goal was sublime.(Leeds 1st) If you look at TAA's position when the long ball is played he is pretty close to Harrison. Its the quality of the pass
that is very good. Then the first two touches are excellent and Trent is trying to recover. Its difficult to proportion blame to that wonderful goal.

Leeds will offer a whole lot more than Norwich did last season, I personally don't remember the 'Norwich for Europe' claims.
I don't think that was a one off on Saturday, never under estimate a Bielsa side.

I indulge in a bit of banter but I don't underestimate any team. I just think you can't say after one game how their season will go. I can acknowledge the good things they did - the well taken goals but also point out that they were literally gifted two of them and also, although their finishing was great, they didn't offer very much else. I don't know anything about Bielsa but he seemingly has some status amongst some of you. Time will tell how it goes for him and Leeds in this league.

Yeah, its difficult to draw conclusions from one game. But thats how Leeds will play their football this season. That third equaliser was about
getting players in the danger area and it was a smart finish. I'm predicting a safe mid table finish for Leeds, anywhere between 8th and 14th

I give them credit for coming to play. They gave us a game which doesn't happen very often. We had some great individual performances but were far from our best as a team. Trent and Henderson, maybe Alisson too, having their first game for us since the end of the season and it showed. We will greatly improve. I can't predict what Leeds will do and tbh I'm not really bothered ......


as long as they take points off our rivals <laugh>

Good chance they can take pts off our rivals tbh, or..... that'll be their performance of the season<laugh>

Exciting to watch tbh was impressed with them but knew we'd start off cold.

Just had a quick read of some of the matchday thread on the Leeds board. You always expect rival fans to see the game differently and they did but there are some horrible posters on there .... calling Salah an "Arab b.....d" No need for that and the other posters on there need to put them straight. Other shouts of 'dirty, cheating ******** scousers'. Shocking .

They’ll do well to get top half this season imo. Of course it’s very possible but I think their style suited playing us. Will be interesting to see how they play other teams/styles of play....they concede a fair few and other teams will not give them the space that we did.

Theres always one or two dickheads, I've found most of em quite friendly tbh

I've just had a look at the posting history and it's full of snide Hillsborough comments. You may be right that most of their fans are alright but the good ones need to call out the scummy ones and nip this stuff in the bud. It's not okay. If they're not opposing it, they're condoning it. Plain and simple.

That's a standard amongst the unwashed tbf. The fella with the "Arab ba....." comment is the worst of the lot. Not surprised that the 21st century hasn't caught on yet in Yorkshire and amongst it's expats who are infecting other parts of the world with their backwards thinking but I'm calling out hate speech anywhere I see it.
