imo we should all look back at one move second half which was what we should be doing. salah finally pass was absolutely a joke bit for one minute we move the ball quick and we absolutely cut them up. I watched city v burnely and frankly there's a gulf between us and them... absolute gulf.
It was always levelled at us that with our fragile defense we could never win a title. 3 goals conceded in 9 games, when you look at our fixture list that is more than impressive. Even though we haven't clicked up front I am not worried, we know what we are capable of in an attacking sense, we know on our day we can hammer anyone, I do believe in time we will be putting in some more decisive performances. But, at least now we are proving we are more than a one trick pony who can blow you away one day with our press and then lose the next by not turning up. We have a consistenty in our game now where if you're not at your best you won't get a win, we're not rolling over, we're keeping a good defensive line/shape and we have enough quality at any given time to make a decisive moment. That is what championship winning teams have done in the past. Unfortunately this City team are on another level at any that have been before.
You are right. they are. right now it's a race not a catch up so this has to be about every single game is must win
.That was an embarrassing display on Saturday. There's no way we can continue to put performances in like that and getting away with it. We'll get found out soon. I'm glad Klopp wasn't happy about it.
Only watched more highlights bar the goal, every other highlight was Huddersfield attack until Salah put one wide at the end after being played through. Was it it like that all game or dodgy editing? Was a a bit of a scratch side and you can tell that we haven’t got any kind of fluency which doesn’t help when midfiekd is constantly changing. It’s hard because I know why we need to rotate because we need to keep everyone fit but at same time doesn’t allow them to build any kind of partnerships there. Salah ah is still getting chances, nearly scored great goal when he beat his man and then nearly slipped it under keeper. It’s encouraging he’s still going and still looking to create and you have to think at some point it’s going to click and he’ll go and score 5/6 in 3 Couple if good games coming up, red star at home then Cardiff at home. Great chance to get couple of wins and maybe a few goals to get confidence going again. With city playing spurs after ya it’s a good chance to get a result then sit back and enjoy knowing one of both will drop points.
dodgy editing. they had one decent shot, hit the post. aside from that we were never really threatened unless you count vvd and lovren's synchronised ballet. IMO we were dreadfully poor for a top side but Huddersfield were no surprise. they are simply AWFUL in front of goal. Shocking. The biggest frustration for me was we saw them apply our game to us and we failed miserably. There were occasions i counted 6 of their players in our half and we hadn't the quality to pass through them and cut them up. We did second half on 2 occasions or could have. Firmino pass was a joke and salah trying to pass it in after one particularly decent passing sequence form us (a rarity)
It was dodgy editing, but they always try to make a one-sided match more even. Not that it was one-sided in this case, just poor from both teams. We're skating on thin ice though, we could easily have conceded one and I haven't the confidence that we could go on to score more in the way we did last season. Rightly or wrongly, the Milner handball would be given more often than not.
Huddersfield only had one attack all game, the rest were just #bbcsalford using footage from different angles
If you could call that effort when vvd and lovren joined the ballet then sure hudderfield has "shots" I'd prefer to call them clearances to touch myself.
