    Yup so much easier for me when I was a defender as not the biggest so having to try and watch the ball, watch the man, run with the man, stick with the man, keep watching the ball jump and try win it. I could stand in my area on half turn so see the ball and opposition and then when it's delivered see if it's coming near me and just go attack it.

    I was the same, useless in the air so would take the post on man to man, once I played in a zonal system it was easy, didn't have to even jump on most occasions.

    Saint just misses the old days where man marking just meant pinning your opponent to the ground as the ball came in so they couldn't get near it <whistle>

    I was a fairly lightweight left winger and never bothered defending. :)
    I just hate zonal and I'm stubborn.

    I think Klopp will have Wjinaldum in for Woodburn but I'm going to stick with my thoughts that Woodburn will link the midfield to the forwards better.

    Hoffenheim's biggest game ever. That's how they view it. So they'll be majorly up for this and are no mugs.

    We need to keep a clean sheet and pick up the odd goal (or two) on the break. The onus is on them to attack. Get them back to Anfield with a 1-0 win and it'll be a good result.

    So that probably means we'll attack hung-ho, concede on the break and give away silly free kicks and concede on set pieces. Ah f#ck it, we'll concede whatever happens. Just give us a fighting chance at Anfield ffs
