    On the Liverpool line-up:
"It would be a catastrophe if Liverpool lose."

<laugh> **** off, clearly more interested in bigging up the idea of a cupset on BBC One than talking any kind of sense

Liverpool midfielder Kevin Stewart, by the way, was recalled from Swindon just a few hours ago.

The team bus probably just picked him from Wiltshire on the way down south...

    Rex Features
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, speaking to BBC Sport: "On video I saw some of those playing. Not all of them I saw a lot but it is the situation and special problems need special solutions. These boys know each other, a lot of them have played in the youth and this is the future of Liverpool FC.

"We don't have the chance to gamble. It is the only team I could present tonight. We had to react on our situation. It is not usual you have this situation with centre-halves.

“Nobody is resting. All are doing what they have to do to be in the best shape.

"The FA Cup creates special stories, usually from the smaller clubs so in our situation we are the challenger."

On being interviewed in the Exeter kitchen: “You cannot imagine where I played. It is nice, I was looking for my cup but there is no cup with my name.”

Yeah, it's pissing down, the pitch is cut up, we've got the reserve reserve team out - but it's the Cup! Nice touch re the welcome sign from Exeter. IF, there is a replay, I hope we can offer them a nice response back.

But excuses and fears over - some fringe player could change their career tonight. Some may find that this is the only chance they get to play for the first XI in a live, televised game. Who knows?

Nonetheless, total support for what Jurgen is doing tonight. Come on Benny, change my view.

Frankly I don't think so. FA cup to us this year isn't really a priority. League cup is now the main target, then see where we can finish in the league and hopefully go some distance in the EL.
Really the FA cup is a bit of an annoyance at the moment with how the squad is depleted. If we go out tonight, so be it, at least it would ease the fixture pressure on us.

Its a free hand to blood some of the youngsters tonight, see if they can help the first team squad more.

We've a bit of league experience on the pitch.

The beeb are showing lfc appearances but nothing on how many they have in league 1, championship and league two

I'm fully prepared for a loss tonight, big chance for a lot of younguns but I'll be quite surprised if we win this given the players available.

Perhaps if the FA and Beeb had scheduled our game more than 3 days after the LC semi, we might have been able to field one or two more big names.

Benteke might actually play better today. Lots of lumping it around and he can maybe bully a league 2 defender.
