Kent had a good 10 minutes then disappeared like a Uniturd poster under Moyes' reign.

Yes about that, I was shouting at the telly whenever Kent cut inside, he done it and failed so many times in the 1st half it was stupid I know he plays on the left but he should have enough intelligence to realise a change of plan is needed now and a again, his young age is no excuse for running into dead ends again and again imo. Was frustrating to watch as he clearly has some talent but couldn't see much of it tonight in a game which players like him should be grabbing with both hands

Was a team full of kids! They did well, came from behind twice in a very tricky away game!!

Good spirit (That term is far better than great character imo<whistle>)

    Then stop it at once.
You may want to meekly kowtow to the might of American cultural imperialism, but don't be surprised if some of us want to put up a more spirited defence. <ok>

Considering Klopp says they trained for 45 mins together.... pulled a retiree off his fifa 16 game, a few lads back off loan, a gingers head out of his own arse and a 32 million misfit off the antidepressants

    Well it went OK

Right now I hope the retiree is back on fifa and someone has shoved the ginger head back up his hole.

Exeter boss Paul Tisdale: "I'm a football manager and I want to win games. When you're 2-1 up and defending a lead with 10 minutes to go then you're disappointed."

Sorry Mr Tisdale but we scored our 2nd in the 73minute, you were never defending a 2-1 lead with 10mins to go. 17mins at best, football is a 90minute game

I haven't read all of the last 20 pages, but I'm guessing Benny's been getting the usual roasting from the usual quarters.
I think it's a bit unfair. There were so many times there when he was signalling for the ball and the lad in possession never even looked at him but just played a square ball. I honestly don't know what people expect of him. He's never going to be a mobile striker like Sturridge, so if we don't give him the service he needs he's never going to get anywhere.

It took 20 minutes before Enrique remembered he wasn't an LB tonight, he definitely looks slow up against a pacey winger, but is still difficult to shift off the ball when he's got it. Tex looked quality in the first half, but faded in the second. Ojo looked lively when he came on. Ilori seemed promising, but obviously needs bringing up to match fitness.
Bogdan, well- what can I say?

Danny Murphy has a man-crush on Lala.

I thought we just about did enough- there's a lot of talented individuals in the team, but this game was a clear reminder that it's about the team, and not individuals.

All I'll say is, they probably aren't used to playing that way... after being with Rodgers for last 3 years the first team and academies have probably been told to keep passing he ball no matter what rather than look for the quick ball in the box.

Just doesn't come naturally to them in the same way Benteke making runs behind the defence doesn't come natural to him.

As always, both camps need to try meet somewhere in the middle to be successful.

Lucky to get through that, hopefully we can field a stronger team at home. I'm all for giving the youngsters game time but it's always a risk in the FA Cup.

I thought Sinclair, Kent, Smith and Ojo did really well last night <ok>

Benteke and Enrique on the other hand <doh> Again Benteke didn't seem to want to get in the box that much, and Bogdan <doh>

For most of the second half, though, they bossed us and we let in two stupid goals. I thought Klopp was going to throttle someone. :headbang: I think had we played full strength it would have been a different result, but still...

Some guys are forgetting that not only are majority of these players under 21, some like ilori have not played all season others were away on loan at other clubs and this team was assembled in under a day in terms of training. Fitness levels were varied. The pitch was also horrible but you could see players attempting to play but struggle at times

The fact that all this was done under 2 days and we still have a chance is commendable. I would still give the young lads a chance at anfield. I think with 2 weeks of training together they can beat Exeter in the replay.
