    "Top level opposition"

Apart from Bogbrush, the lazy Spaniard and Benteke they were our U21's Tobes, they should be given as much credit as Exeter for keeping us in the comp and giving the first team shirkers a chance of getting a game in this season's FA Cup.

By the way it must have been a good game for the nuetrals as you pointed out.<ok>

So basically, the likes of Moreno, Clyne, Firmino, Ibe, Coutinho are unable to cross the ball to Benteke, and now Smith, Randall, Tex, Kent are unable to do the same.

So all of these players have been taught to play a particular style which is aligned with one another should now change their way and play more direct to suit ONE player?

No, injuries didn't necessitate playing the number of youngsters he did tonight.

He could have played a much stronger side had he chose to to

    He chose not to

    Ergo it was his choice.

In Germany the 4th tier is absolute durge, your dismissal of my sensible comments just shows you're a clueless blert

If you're playing one up front then of course you have to utilise the strength of the guy who is ultimately going to score you the goals.

If you don't he wont score - which is exactly what happened.

When has Lallana and Lovren played well? And when I say well, I mean do their job to a high level and then do more than what they're supposed to?

If we play the same side then the fixture congestion won't matter too much, just another chance for the kids <ok>

So we played a strong team against Stoke, sustained more injuries, then you expect them to play the same team against Exeter and then against Arsenal?

I can tell you support a small club.

  11. Did you see any crosses?

Smith did early in but speed doing it for some reason.

You bang on about Benteke only scoring when a team plaits to his strengths yet Suu when people suggest weer don't help him ffs <doh>

So now we can Smith, Randall, Tex, Kent, Sinclair to the list of players who can't get the best out of Benteke, along with Firmino, Coutinho, Ibe and Lallana.

We do play to Benteke's strengths at times - but what does he do? Nothing. Some good crosses tonight but he;s too slow to react.

  15. I expected you to point out that you did (eventually) praise Lallana after Klopp arrived but I guess that never happened now his forms dropped back down.

Think it was MITO that created the thread earlier today... You just don't like them!

You sit waiting and hoping they play badly so you can bang your drum!

It played a huge part.. but I actually one in my life agree with Fat Sam when he says, the FA haven't helped themselves by putting a round of mid week fixtures in 3 days after the FA Cup games. It pretty much forces all the clubs to put out weak teams and rest all their big players for the important Prem game. They devalue their own comps and then wonder why no one takes it that seriously anymore.

If we had a week between this and next game then all the Prem clubs would play their strongest teams.. but we have Arsenal 4 days later

We need to get Gerrard and Alonso back in the team, and bring them on just for dead-balls, like kickers in the NFL, to place the ball precisely onto the exact part of Benny's sloping forehead so that he doesn't have to move.

With Exeter winning I'd been wondering why Liverpool didn't try hitting a few early balls to Benteke as Exter seemed to be really going for it and closing well, then straight away its hit in to Benteke and he almost scores. I thought you'd keep going hitting it in to Benteke but it never really materialised.

Your defense looked very vulnerable throughout and Exeter worked hard. They'll be pleased with the replay. The extra fixture isn't so good for you lot though with the injuries mounting.

What defense is available to play against Arsenal? Giroud would have a field day against the CB pairing from today!

  19. If you believe that you'll believe anything. Not once this season have I seen us play early crosses. Not once. Our players always delay it and have to try and beat their man first.

The only thing Danny Murphy was right about tonight; just get the ball in the danger zone!

You're missing my point mate, I agree with your general gist of him not fitting our philosophy though.

    Its a big problem.
