Great old fashioned cup tie. Lower league strugglers raise their game against top level opposition, a quagmire of a pitch and incredible home support.

I loved the way Exeter came out second half and took the game to you, brilliant stuff.

Your lad took his chance well but overall you were slightly fortunate to leave with a replay.

Maybe Klopp has learned another lesson about English football tonight, as despite your injuries he could (and imo should) have fielded a stronger side tonight, he just about got away with it, but you've now got yet another fixture in your already crammed calendar.

We played a style of football that most of the players at the club are used to. We shouldn't be changing that just for one player.

I rather our youngsters are playing a style which is aligned to the first team based on playing on the deck and movement.

i don't understand why we're not giving him a go there. He won several defensive headers from corners and set-pieces. Dion Dublin could do a stint at CB, and needs must. He's not slow and he can tackle. What's to lose?

    At Anfield:

    Mignolet
    Flanagan Ilori Toure Smith
    Brannigan Allen Milner
    Texeira Benteke Ojo

    Should win it.

It could be good to include Smith, Texeira and Ojo in our next EL round.

I took it to mean there was no way he'd judge youngster on one match in a clobbered together team on a **** pitch.

I have two issues with that.

    1. Then why did we buy him?

    2. Of course we have to adjust we played him on his own up front!!

I actually think Allen in midfield would really have helped today.

    1. Very good question! Ask our clueless ex manager lol!

    2. So you rather ask a bunch of our youngsters to adapt their game, rather than ask one experienced CF to adapt his game?

  14. It's not about changing a style, it's about taking the opportunity to put a cross in when you get a chance. They can still piss about passing it nowhere for twenty minutes!

I'd rather we played someone other than Benteke too but not because he's ****, he isn't. He simply doesn't fit but at present, we have no other options. If we're going to play him then use him.

The rest of your post was nonsense.

'Maybe Klopp has learned another lesson about English football tonight'

Yes, because we planned to have so many injuries which resulted us in playing our youngsters.. <ok>

Thats a really good question, why did we buy him? We'd already failed with Carroll

    Agreed.

If we're being brutally honest it would surprising if any made it.

At a push 2 of them, but as you say, we've had good prospects come and go.

A ridiculously priced-up upgrade plan B option on Lambert.

  20. He hasn't, but Lallana is a good example of people not giving a **** how payers perform. Lovren too.
